I am a creature of habit, so changing my career identity has made me feel many feelings in the last few weeks. One thing I have learned though, is that procrastinating something just because it's a little uncomfortable is not how you grow.
In my 6 years as an Acupuncturist, the thing I noticed the most with patients is that home care so often doesn't get done. Our patients fully understand they would benefit from it, maybe even expedite their healing ten fold. But it doesn't change the fact that it can be overwhelming and often they don't know how to start, how to shift their routines or implement new habits, break old cycles, or how to change their mindsets around things like food or exercise. So here I am, seeing a deficiency in wellness care and committing to trying to bridge the gap.
This is not toxic positivity or a quick easy fix. This is a 3 month program because that is how lasting changes are made - over time. Fun fact, It does not take 21 days to build a habit. New research is saying it actually is more like 66 days depending on the frequency and a multitude of other factors.
