🌿 How Acupuncture Helps During Menopause

Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body (meridians) to restore energy balance (“qi”) and support hormonal regulation

💧 Common Menopause Symptoms Acupuncture May Help With

Hot flashes and night sweats – Several studies show a reduction in frequency and intensity.

Sleep disturbances – Improves sleep quality and reduces insomnia.

Mood swings, anxiety, irritability – Balances mood and promotes relaxation by reducing cortisol and boosting serotonin.

Fatigue and low energy – Enhances energy flow and helps with daytime alertness.

Vaginal dryness and discomfort – Can improve blood flow and tissue health.

Joint pain and muscle stiffness – Eases inflammation and promotes circulation.

🕰️

How Often to Get Acupuncture for Menopause

Most practitioners recommend:

Phase 1 (Initial Care):

1–2 sessions per week for about 4–6 weeks

→ This helps stabilize hormone-related symptoms like hot flashes, anxiety, and sleep issues.

Phase 2 (Maintenance):

Once every 2–4 weeks as symptoms improve or for ongoing balance.

After a few months, many women move to a “maintenance” schedule — like one session per month or seasonally, depending on how their body feels.

Low back pain is a frequent occurrence during pregnancy. 🤰

One common cause is irritation of the sacroiliac joint, where the pelvis meets the lower back.

Chiropractic care offers a safe, gentle, and effective way to manage this pain and help you feel more comfortable. 💆‍♀️

How many steps should you aim for each day? ✨

A review of 57 studies shows ~7,000 steps/day = major health benefits:
🔹 Risk of death decreases nearly 50%
🔹 Lower risk of heart disease, dementia, depression, and diabetes
🔹 Even cancer & falls showed improvement

The old “10,000 steps” goal is great, but 7,000 is realistic and impactful!

Ready to start moving? Small steps really do add up.

📱 More screen time = higher health risks!

Kids and teens who spend lots of time on screens have
a greater risk of future heart and metabolic
issues—especially if they aren’t getting enough sleep.

Family reminder: less screen, more sleep, more
movement! 💛
