It is getting to that time of year where the snow is finally/hopefully going away and outdoor running picks back up!

Here is a quick blog post I put together for Active Approach to talk about various running injuries I see most often. This is certainly not an exhausted list by any means but may be helpful in guiding you towards the care you may need!

Ever wonder what a concussion is?

Here is a quick video of me explaining an awesome CCMI diagram as I would typically go through with one of my patients. The value in education and reassurance is incredible as I find the media has scared everyone into thinking they will always have life long issues!

NOTE:
There are generally other issues that can arise from a concussion including (but not limited to) vestibular/ocular issues, heart rate variability/blood flow abnormalities, hormonal dysfunction and whiplash associated disorders (whiplash takes as little as 4.5Gs of force where a concussion takes 70-120Gs) to name a few, but the primary explanation and issue with a concussion is an energy deficit! If you have sustained a concussion make sure your practitioner is up to date in both their knowledge and rehab!
