Day 0..... how and why do I do this? A new plan is so daunting and building new habits is scary. I guess I will keep restarting until I find the one that sticks...…here we go. Day 1 starts tomorrow. Nothing to buy. Nothing to do but read through the first 2 weeks of this new program. I do like that it is split into 2 week bits. I often get overwhelmed and quit......all the things I tell people not to do.

Why? Two books. Bible. R3 phase 1, this is more of a booklet I suppose.

I have always loved health and wellness but struggled myself, maybe I don't want others to feel my pain? Well this is ME time...

Hey if you are struggling to, hope in here and lets see if we can motivate all of us to be our healthier selves. Sometimes self love is kindness and soft but can also be tough love. I AM TOUGH LOVING MYSELF now!!

Do you struggle to find time for workouts and food prep?
🔥 I do!
At times I can be very dedicated and others I have struggled with zero control at all. There is the problem. We are taught to control. Portions, exact weights of food, strict workout regimens. Maybe on top of an already chaotic world and life itself, it can be too overwhelming.
💥 cholesterol is bad 🤯 cholesterol is good 😊
Eat eggs 🥚 don’t eat eggs

What in the world are we to do!
I am going to embark on a new journey. I have been studying to doing research and started putting together a plan and a questionnaire to build a plan. All I need is 5 ladies who want to give a new plan a try.

Why do people get so opinionated about resolutions? Do we check how many people make plans in June that they don’t follow through with?
🧐 anyone know the numbers?

My two bits is this, if someone makes a resolution and it works….. great!
If someone makes one and it doesn’t work and they feel ashamed because everyone making resolutions gets blasted…. Hmmmmm
Maybe 🤔 just maybe…. their resolution is the step they need to take.

Knowledge is power but kindness can be powerful!

It’s fresh bread day! Yesterday I had a great visit with a friend who continues to teach me so very much! She and I were talking about bread… so today I am making some! I will share our convo…. But I must first get my facts straight!

Today is another Day 1
Today is another opportunity for me to try again.
I have been busy and allowed myself to be sedentary too much so I started a little training again this morning. I have been out with my dogs lately but I really need to have a resistance training schedule!
Something as simple as
25 sit-ups
25 push-ups
25 squats
My goal is to add one a day to the end of November.
I never feel bad starting over. I just keep trying to find my thing!

Can you and will you make decisions that are hard. In life I used to balk at decisions that would potentially hurt a persons feelings or not appease everyone. All that ever did was hurt me or stress me. I have a different way now, if I can I give myself time. Even a day to sit on things. I am no longer afraid to make a call. I understand that I may get it wrong, that happens. However, having the ability to make a decision with no regret or stress is coming a lot easier.
I have made enough less than desirable ones in my time.
Now in the past couple years I have gotten better at hearing the truth, maybe it is age. Maybe it is because at this point I choose to hear truth, make a decision to fix it or keep it, and move forward.
I guess this morning I want to say thank you to those friends and family who are honest with me even though it risks momentarily hurting feelings, long run it keeps it honest between us! I don’t think we have enough of that.
Be kind and truthful…. That doesn’t mean say whatever you want. Be tactful!

This weekend I am in GP for the 23rd Annual Northern Classic, so far day 1 is great. We are about to get into day 2.
I love seeing all the hard work on stage! These competitors are doing great!
As I come from teaching phys ed, there are so many parallels. Don’t compare yourself to others. Follow your own plan. Put in the hardworking. Your mind will trick you if you let it!
What do you look for in a coach, for your kids sports? Does that same thing also apply to a coach for yourself?

I am so excited for a few events this week, I made a little extra supper so we could pack it and have food to eat that was both homemade and nutritious! I am not counting calories or macros right now. I am trying to eat 3 balanced meals with appropriate portions and 2 snacks!
Cooking at home is the best way to know what is in your body!

Spent yesterday between two sporting events. It sure warms my heart to be able to be a small part of the sports world of these incredible kids! I watched two new teams grow together, fight hard for some wins and more importantly stick together during adversity. I got to watch three runners take the cross country field by storm. Two of them are headed to provincials! They had basketball teammates on a different running team and to watch ALL the parents cheer every kid that came through.
All in all it leads me to this,

I also watched a kid flex after 1 pt in volleyball, and destroyed after a loss of pt.
It was I think the first tournament for most teams. As a coach I often wonder why other coaches allow it?
Do you think it is acceptable? Or do you see it as insignificant in the big picture? I am really curious. I have my own opinion but I want to hear yours!
I think it is weakness. Weakness in coaching and character development. You don’t need to celebrate every pt. It’s like having a celebration for showing up to work. That’s the whole idea.
I also think when we allow the celebrations and defeats after every play, we teach the kids to take their mind off the game. When in fact we should be teaching them to focus for an entire game! You miss transitions in other sports, you allow too much wiggle room in mental focus!
Congrats to all of he incredible young men and women who played and ran this weekend. I am so proud to get to watch all of you on your sports journey!

So many of you know my last 2+ years have been full of change and growth. Possibly the most drastic in my world.
I just want you to know that no matter what gets thrown your way, your first defence is mindset. How you approach and find resolve in trying times will make a huge difference as to how you move forward.
Which brings me here…….
I love teaching. In order to teach you must first learn! Let me tell you… the learning curve is steep.
I am happy. I am challenged. I am not perfect but I try to do good things. I have finally started to forgive myself, and I struggle here. I no longer seek acceptance, not that I found it, I just don’t seek it.
I hope you have an incredible day filled with love!
