40th Deep River Triathlon this year and the third for OVSS. Smaller group than usual, which gave us more time to cheer and connect with participants, as well as familiar and new faces in the community. It was extra special seeing our patients absolutely crush this event, we are so proud!!

It's been a difficult few months of health issues for both of us, and the Renfrew County Community Votes were not on our radar this year. To those of you who both nominated and voted for us in the Chiropractic category, we thank you so much! This was such a nice surprise and we are so thankful for your support.

🛠️At OVSS, we get excited about new projects!🛠️ This extra-wide rehab table should help those with mobility challenges perform floor based exercises with less difficulty.

A few sweaty days covered in saw dust were well worth it to have this table clinic ready.

Bonus: no practitioners were injured during this project 😉.

Last Monday was such a blast! Thanks to the Upper Ottawa Valley Seniors Friendship Club Sfc Uov for inviting us to speak in their Lunch & Learn series. This presentation focussed on research on aging and practical tips for staying healthy through aging, including the following topics:

✅ Regular check-ups and personal health record keeping
✅ Sleep and aging
✅ Tips for good sleep hygiene
✅ Benefits of physical activity through aging
✅ Mental/emotional health and social engagement
✅ **Free local resources for education, physical activity, social engagement**

After some subtle and not-so-subtle urging from our patients to take a vacation, we have decided to listen! We look forward to a little R&R so we can serve you better after the holidays.

We first met Kyle .tremblay_archery the week before he left for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Last week he returned to the clinic to continue making performance gains. If you haven't met Kyle yet, he is an incredibly dedicated athlete and a tremendously humble human being.

This week our special visitor finally left and headed back home. If you've noticed a lack of online presence from us in the last 3 weeks, it's because we have been soaking up family time and helping Mama Caul with pain management and lifestyle modification (making room for enjoyable movement, better food choices, and lots of rest). We are so fortunate to work in the professions we do so we could play a role in her overall recovery. It has been a rough year of hospital visits and chronic pain, but we are so happy to send her off with new skills and less pain than she has had in months. Until next time!
