The future is bright — and it's already here!
Our student practicum volunteers bring fresh eyes, big ideas, and incredible energy to our work. Sending big thanks to Hannah (pictured with REACH Positive Connections Coordinator Jeanette Trombley) and Sydney who share their perspectives below:
Hannah: " Completing my Child and Youth Care degree practicum at REACH Child and Youth Development Society has been such a meaningful part of my learning experience. Even though I attend school in another city, I have always known about REACH and the impact it has in the community, so being able to come back and both learn and give back in my own field has felt really special. REACH has been a genuinely positive place to learn, and I would absolutely recommend it to other students who are looking for a practicum placement where they can feel supported, challenged, and connected to meaningful work in the community."
Sydney: “I have always been a “people person” and known that I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. Completing my practicum at Reach has felt like an excellent fit to fulfill this desire – Reach’s values in supporting families aligns very well with my own. Plus what a great bonus getting exposure to such talented therapists with vast knowledge and experience.”
