We are sincerely grateful to TB Vets Charitable Foundation for their generous grant of $17,000 towards the purchase of three AIRVO 3s for Delta Hospital’s Respiratory Therapy Department!

AIRVO 3 machines deliver temperature-controlled, humidified high-flow oxygen therapy (HFOT) to patients experiencing respiratory distress, reducing the amount of breathing effort and improving oxygen delivery. These units will be used throughout the Delta Hospital Campus of Care for a variety of needs. In emergency situations, Delta Hospital’s ER team can use them to quickly improve oxygenation when every second counts. Our Medical and Surgical teams will also use AIRVO 3s to support patients with respiratory distress or hypoxemia.

Since 1999, TB Vets has awarded DHCH Foundation with over $305,000 towards critical respiratory-related equipment for the Delta Hospital Campus of Care. We are deeply thankful to TB Vets for their continued commitment to transforming individual lives by funding critical respiratory equipment, research, and education across British Columbia.

We are excited to introduce Darcy Hortness as a featured speaker at the 2nd Annual Power of Women in Philanthropy event, presented by Century Group!

Darcy Hortness is a three-time Olympian who represented Canada at the Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, and London 2012 Olympic Games, earning a silver medal in the women’s eight at London. After retiring from elite rowing in 2013, she transitioned into the business world, gaining experience in the financial sector before co-founding Oceano Cleaning Services. As a speaker, she shares insights on resilience, leadership, and applying high-performance habits from sport to business and everyday life.

The provincial update on February 17, 2026 indicates that timelines for long‑term care projects across B.C. are being reassessed to address rising construction costs and lessons learned from projects already underway. Despite this province‑wide review, early site work for Delta’s new Beedie Long-Term Care Centre is already in progress, and the need to urgently replace the aging Mountain View Manor with a modern 200‑bed home remains clear.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our donors, this project is well‑positioned, and our commitment to this state‑of‑the‑art long‑term care home for Delta remains unwavering. We will continue working with Fraser Health and government partners as timelines are refined, ensuring seniors in our community receive the high‑quality, home‑like care they deserve.

Cindy is the Executive Director of the Beedie Foundation and a passionate philanthropic leader supporting housing, women’s education, and health care across our community. She is the naming donor of YWCA Cindy Beedie Place, providing 56 safe, affordable homes for single mothers and their children, and co-founded Beedie Rocks, which has raised millions for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and YWCA Metro Vancouver.

We’re thrilled to announce that Dr. Ramneek Dosanjh will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2nd Annual Power of Women in Philanthropy event, presented by Century Group!

Dr. Ramneek (Rummy) Dosanjh is a family physician, hospitalist, and child and youth mental health advocate. She serves as Executive Vice President for North America for the Medical Women’s International Association and is a past President of the Federation of Medical Women of Canada and Doctors of BC.

She has played a key role in healthcare reform in British Columbia and is a passionate advocate for women’s health, equity, and child and youth mental health in White Rock/South Surrey. She has also served the local community, including at Delta Hospital. Born and raised in Ladner, she remains committed to improving health outcomes across the region.
