Yule is an ancient Germanic and Norse midwinter festival, celebrated around the winter solstice (Dec 21-22), marking the rebirth of the sun and the return of longer days, emphasizing themes of light, feasting, renewal, and reflection.

We celebrates the rebirth of the sun, new beginnings, transformation, and the balance of light and dark.

Ways to practice Yule,

focus on bringing light and warmth into the darkness through bonfires, Yule logs, and candles, while connecting with nature by decorating with evergreens (holly, ivy, mistletoe), feasting on seasonal foods, and honoring ancestors and traditions like wassailing or gift-giving. And setting intentions for the returning sun, with simple acts like making an altar or sharing food!

Witch balls are hollow glass spheres originating in 17th-century England, used to protect homes by trapping evil spirits or reflecting spells, often hung in windows to mesmerize and ensnare mischievous entities within their mirrored or web-like interiors. They spread to New England and beyond, evolving from clear glass to colorful, decorative ornaments, eventually becoming popular crafts with meanings for protection, fortune, or even as early Christmas baubles, though some folklore connects them to scrying or fishermen's floats.

Today, people fill them with herbs, charms, and crystals for specific intentions like protection, happiness, or love.

Traditionally hung in the East window, however you can place theres where you please! To bring protection, cleansing and uplifting energy!

A couple late evening hours will be open for shopping! 🛍️

December 16th 11-7pm
December 19th 11-7pm
December 22nd 12-6pm

and we will be closed for the holidays December 24th to the 28th, then open for the 29th and 30th, Closed for New Years Eve and Day! Regular hours are back January 2nd! 😁

Why did you call it 2Ravenz? This question gets asked a lot...Well.. The raven is a wise, all-knowing messenger and often a bird of prophecy, protector, and helper, it also symbolizes the unconscious or the unknowable. Ravens connect the material world with the world of spirits. The 2 represents huginn and muninn, Odin's ravens.
