Led by CANNABLISS PRACTICE in collaboration with •womb•heart•rose•water•hair•priestess, this immersive gathering blends seated and elevated yoga, tea ceremony, meditation, and cannabis education into a relaxed and welcoming community experience. Inspired by the playful spirit of a tea party, the evening invites guests to slow down, connect with their bodies, and explore cannabis through the lens of intentional wellness and ritual.

Participants will be guided through a gentle seated yoga and mindful movement practice, designed to be accessible for all levels. The experience also includes a curated tea tasting, meditation, and a rose ritual, creating space for grounding, reflection, and connection.

Throughout the evening, guests will also learn about the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and how cannabis can support mindful wellness practices when approached with intention and education.

This intimate gathering is part of the Cannabis Hospitality Summit, a Vancouver-based event exploring the future of cannabis-friendly spaces, tourism, and community experiences in Canada. The Mad Hatter Yoga Tea Party offers a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow guests and set the tone for a weekend centered on cannabis culture, hospitality, and wellbeing.

This past weekend cracked me open in ways I didn’t expect.

Two years ago, my mom passed after a rapid and devastating three-month journey with cancer, followed by a massive stroke. Since then, I’ve been tending to my grief the best I know how—through support, through deep inner work, and through learning how to be with myself in ways I never had before. I’ve been held by love, especially by my partner, who’s given me the space to slowly gather the pieces of myself again.

But this weekend… it stirred something deeper.

My daughter and I made the long trip to my mom’s place to begin going through her belongings. To witness pieces of her life, her memories, her essence still living in the spaces she left behind.

And my nervous system… in a way, it didn’t feel ready.

I felt myself drop into a full C-PTSD response especially in my way back home. Like I lost my center completely.

All the work I’ve done felt like it disappeared in an instant.I became hyper-aware, hyper-fixated… triggered by the smallest things.My body flooded—panic, tension, cortisol surging.Old patterns crept in—internalizing, worrying, spiraling, shame.

“Relax.”“Lighten up.”“Stop being so sensitive.”

Those words echoed louder than my own truth.

And even the journey there felt like resistance…Our bus left 15 minutes early—no refund, no grace.We scrambled, rebooked, pushed through—just trying to stay on track so we could meet my brother and continue on.

It felt like everything in my system was saying: this is a lot.

And maybe that’s the truth.

Healing isn’t linear.Grief doesn’t follow timelines.And no matter how much work we do, there are moments that will bring us back to our knees.

But I’m learning this too

Coming undone doesn’t mean I’ve lost my progress.It means there’s something deeper asking to be seen, held, and moved through.

So I’m here, gently finding my way back to center.Breathing. Softening. Allowing.

And reminding myself…

I’m not broken.I’m responding.
