Keep Glowing Psychology

Keep Glowing Psychology https://www.psychologytoday.com/ca/therapists/kelsie-moore-carstairs-ab/896782 I am owner and operator of Keep Glowing Psychology.

I am Registered Psychologist with a Masters in Counselling Psychology and have been working in the field for 7 years in non-for-profit organizations and private practice. I provide counselling for adults, teens, and couples struggling with various emotional and life problems. I recently became EMDR trained (Level 1 & 2) and have taken various trauma-informed courses over the years. I love learning and honing my skills. I am passionate about helping the overachievers, the perfectionists, the people pleasers, the anxious over-thinkers. The people feeling burnt out, unhappy, and disconnected from their friends and family because they put so much energy into the daily grind. I would love to help you overcome whatever problems you may face and live up to your full potential. I believe that all people have the capacity to heal, grow, and learn new skills regardless of what hardships life has thrown at them. I use a collaborative approach to tailor treatment to my client's specific needs and strengths. We create goals and an action-plan based on manageable steps. Depending on the clients-readiness for change, some can show progress in as little as 3-12 sessions. Clients have shared that I provide a warm, validating, non-judgemental approach to therapy. I can be the calm in your storm and help you regulate your emotions so that you can become more resourceful in navigating life's challenges. I believe change happens through relationship building and new learning and it's never too late to ask for help!

I don’t think AI will replace us, but might help guide us in treatment planning. The human relationship aspect is still a major catalyst for change.

When I say I specialize in perfectionism, this can mean a few different things. Perfectionism can look like procrastination. It can disguise itself as anxiety. It can be a mean and strong inner critic. It can look like difficulty making decisions do to fear of making the “wrong” choice. It can also be a trauma response. This happens to those who grew up in families where being perfect meant being safe. It was a way to avoid getting in trouble.
Do you struggle with fear of failure, feel inadequate, or create impossibly high standards for yourself?
I can teach you the skills and tools to develop better self-compassion and self-acceptance. To manage stress related to unrealistic standards without sacrificing productivity. I can help you regain control of your life in healthy ways. This will allow you to feel more authentic and more connected to people who matter in your life.
It’s never too late to ask for help!

You’re the one everyone turns to — the responsible one, the achiever, the one who always gets it right. But beneath the polished surface, you’re exhausted.

• You overthink almost everything — replaying conversations, double-checking emails, worrying you’ve missed something.
• You set sky-high standards for yourself, and if you fall even a little short, the self-criticism is relentless.
• You procrastinate because things have to be perfect — and when they’re not, it feels like you’ve failed.
• You struggle to rest, even when you're tired. There’s always more you “should” be doing.
• You might look like you’ve got it all together — but inside, your mind rarely quiets down.
You’ve learned to manage the stress by staying busy, staying in control, staying on top of everything — but lately, it’s not working as well as it used to.
You’re tired of the pressure.
You’re tired of the panic.
You’re tired of pretending you’re not tired.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to keep holding it all together on your own. I have helped many people like you:

• Break free from perfectionism and self-doubt
• Learn to cope with anxiety in healthy, sustainable ways
• Feel calmer, more grounded, and more at peace with
yourself

Sit with it WITHOUT JUDGEMENT.
Ask yourself, “where is this coming from,” and when the answer comes to you, validate it for yourself.
“That makes sense and it’s ok to feel this way right now” “it will pass” “I can handle it”
