At Dr. Alexis Keeling Optometry, your eye health, comfort, and overall wellness are always our top priority.

We want to gently remind everyone that contact lenses are a medical device, and for your safety, they must never be dispensed without a proper contact lens fitting. This fitting ensures you can confidently and safely insert and remove your lenses, and that they are the right size, material, and prescription for your eyes.

Although contacts are safe when used correctly, they can lead to serious infections — even blindness — if proper care isn’t followed. To protect your vision, always remember:

✔️ Wash and completely dry your hands before touching your eyes or lenses
✔️ Never sleep in your contact lenses
✔️ Never shower or swim while wearing them
✔️ Only wear the lenses prescribed for you
✔️ Replace lenses and cases as directed

We care deeply about your eyes and want you to enjoy clear, comfortable, and healthy vision for years to come. If you have questions about your lenses or need a fitting, we’re always here to help. 💙

Christmas astigmatism ⭐️

So proud of Dr. Doherty and the work he does! Groceries and Glasses is a fantastic program making this community better!

Everyday Heros... Community Service! Today, we celebrate volunteers Dr. Ed. Doherty and Pierre Landry on their 2-year anniversary of their "Groceries and Glasses" program at the Peter McKee Community Food Centre! We are very proud of being the only food bank in Canada to provide this unique free eye-care clinic - including free glasses and eye-care products as needed - to qualified clients of our community! Thank you to Dr. Ed and Pierre, as well as to their program partners EssilorLuxottica - who provide supplies, along with other opthalmologists and pharmaceutical companies in our region who provide surgeries, treatments and medications! On behalf of the Centre and especially the patients to whom you have provided a life-changing service - Thank you! Everyday Heros... Community Service at its best!
