An easy way to ground and nourish 🌿 Good for back pain, hot flashes, fatigue, insomnia and more...

“Feel the Earth beneath your feet — and let your energy rise like a spring. 🌿
Kidney 1 (Yongquan) is where vitality begins.”

🌟 FUN FACT:

KD1 is the lowest point on the body — the gateway between your energy and the Earth’s energy.
It’s called “Yongquan” (涌泉) which means “Gushing Spring”, symbolizing the flow of life force (Qi) rising from the ground up through your body.

📍 LOCATION:

On the sole of the foot, in the depression between the 2nd and 3rd toes, about one-third of the distance from the base of the toes to the heel.
(It feels like a small hollow when you curl your toes.)

⚡ FUNCTIONS & BENEFITS:

Revives consciousness and relieves dizziness

Nourishes Kidney energy and balances Yin–Yang

Calms the mind and reduces anxiety

Strengthens the spine, knees, and bones

Promotes deep, restorative sleep

Lowers blood pressure naturally

Improves circulation and detoxifies

🩺 CONDITIONS IT HELPS:

✅ Headache and dizziness
✅ Insomnia and anxiety
✅ High blood pressure
✅ Poor memory or fatigue
✅ Menopausal hot flashes
✅ Foot pain and swelling

⚠️ RED FLAGS:

Improved sleep and balanced mood

🌿 HOW TO STIMULATE KD1:

Press with your thumb for 1–2 minutes while breathing deeply.

Massage in circles 30–50 times per foot.

Tap the soles gently to awaken energy.

For better effect — soak feet in warm salt water first.

🧘‍♀️ TAI CHI & QI GONG SUPPORT:

Tai Chi movements that strengthen KD1 include:

“Rooting Stance” (Zhan Zhuang) — standing still and feeling the connection to Earth.

“Gather Earth Qi” — gently shifting weight to feel energy rise from the soles.
These build grounding, balance, and kidney vitality.

🍵 HERBS & FOODS THAT SUPPORT KD1 / KIDNEY HEALTH:

🌰 Herbs:

Rehmannia (Shu Di Huang)

Goji berries

Cordyceps

Schisandra
