We spent a beautiful afternoon celebrating Lei Day 🌺✨ A heartfelt thank you to Alison for such an incredible performance—sharing not only the beauty of each lei, but also the rich history and culture behind them through hula. It was truly a meaningful and memorable experience.

We wrapped up the day perfectly with the original Blue Hawaiian cocktail 🍹💙 Cheers to culture, connection, and celebration!

Warning: unexpected joy and questionable dance moves ahead!💃😂 Huge thank you to Karen Gress from the Seniors Centre for teaching us how to line dance for National Dance Day! We came in with two left feet and left with at least… slightly more coordinated left feet. So much laughter, great energy, and proof that dancing is way more fun when you don’t take yourself too seriously! 🕺✨ Check out our staff and residents dance moves!

We had so much fun playing classic games—especially the challenge of eating Krakelingen cookies off a string (harder than it looks! 😄). Of course, no celebration is complete without delicious stroopwafels and a cozy cup of coffee. ☕️

🌏🗺️This afternoon, we had the pleasure of welcoming guest speaker Dr. Amy Barron for a fascinating talk on Agatha Christie and archaeology. Dr. Barron earned her PhD from the University of Toronto in Mesopotamian history and archaeology, with a specialization in the military history of Iron Age Assyria. With over 30 years of experience working in the museum field, she brought a wealth of knowledge and insight to her presentation.

Her engaging and passionate talk explored the intriguing intersection between Agatha Christie’s life and the world of archaeology, showing how these two seemingly different subjects came together in unexpected and compelling ways.

Thank you, Dr. Barron, for such a wonderful and thought-provoking presentation. Bill also presented a thank-you gift on behalf of all of us in appreciation of her time and expertise.🌏🗺️
