The advances in reserve in myeloma presented in Frankfurt are mind boggling, but we are also here to connect with our friends in the patient advocacy world. Michelle and I meet with Sheilagh McKinley from to share and learn what they do across the pond! And we had meetings with 6 pharmaceutical companies to share with them how they can design better and faster trials for myeloma patients. We were impressed with their interest and commitment to patients. And of course to support our Canadian oncologists on their research achievements. It’s a wrap for us after 10 days of back to back conferences and meetings!

2nd COVID-19 vaccine dose delays continue to severely impact the safety and immune response of cancer patients – FIGHT FOR CHANGE!

Myeloma Canada in collaboration with multiple national cancer organizations have heard your concerns regarding the impacts of delaying the 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccines. We urgently are asking the Prime Minister and Provincial and Territorial Premiers, and Government Health Officials to change the vaccine roll-out plans to provide cancer patients with the option to receive their much-needed second dose as per clinical trial timelines.
