On Thursday we were blessed with a visit from FAARS! 🐾

They brought in the cutest puppies for everyone to enjoy, and we even got to spend some time visiting with a beautiful baby as well. Moments like these truly brighten our residents’ day and bring so many smiles throughout the community.

Our visits with FAARS always make our residents incredibly happy, and we are so thankful to have such a wonderful relationship with our local rescue. Thank you for sharing your time, love, and adorable furry friends with us! ❤️

The Power of Companionship

During her break, one of our ECP’s was joined by Suzie, our foster cat, who decided it was the perfect time for a cuddle. Moments like these remind us that Eden is about more than care—it’s about connection. Suzie not only brings comfort and companionship to our residents, but she also offers the same warmth to our employee care partners, nurturing well-being on both sides. These simple, shared moments help reduce stress, build relationships, and create a home filled with love, purpose, and joy.

Thank you for bringing in skulls and pelts and providing such an educational and interactive session for our residents. Everyone truly enjoyed the hands-on experience and being able to touch and explore the pelts. What an amazing and memorable experience!

A small, cozy gathering was enjoyed with warm mugs of hot cocoa and a fun game of Roll a Snowman, sparking lots of laughter. With Christmas music softly playing in the background, the great conversation made the moment feel especially warm and festive.

Our residents had an absolute blast opening their gifts and stockings today! 🎁🎄 The smiles, laughter, and excitement truly filled the room.

A huge thank you to Stockings for Seniors for the beautiful stockings and thoughtful presents. Your kindness and generosity brought so much joy to our residents and made their day extra special. We are so grateful for everything you do! ❤️

Our three Christmas trees are beautifully decorated, each adding its own unique charm to our community. They sparkle with festive lights and ornaments, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon pub, featuring hot chocolate made with milk, a choice of pop, wine, beer, Clamato, and coffee. We munched on chips and delicious dry garlic ribs while sharing lots of laughs and conversation. Tabletop “Back in the Day” trivia sparked great memories, and a few residents enjoyed a lively game of Mexican dominoes. It was truly a fabulous afternoon filled with good food, good company, and great fun.🎄

A puzzle table at Points West Living Drayton Valley became the start of a new friendship, between a resident and the community cat that joined in, stretching across the pieces and nudging one into place.

Pets matter here. Welcoming small pets and having animals in the home brings familiar routines, conversation, and a sense of home that helps people settle in. Connecting Care designs for companionship and belonging, so these small moments can turn into meaningful connection.
