Thinking of all the amazing people within and connected to the Trans Community 🏳️‍⚧️
What’s happening in Alberta is terrifying, completely goes against what science, research, and professionals tell us, and is a shocking violation of human rights.

Trans lives matter. Gender-affirming care saves lives. Protect trans-kids 🩵🩷🤍

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance. Today, we honour the trans and gender-diverse people whose joy, futures, and lives were stolen by violence, hatred, and discrimination.

This year, remembrance weighs even heavier. Just this week, the Alberta government took steps to attack the rights and dignity of trans and gender-diverse people, on the eve of a day meant to mourn the very violence that trans people already face.

Honouring trans lives means more than remembering those we’ve lost. Memory must lead to action. It requires defending the rights, safety, and futures of those who are here today.
