** BOIL WATER ADVISORY – DECEMBER 1, 2025 5:22PM**

Due to a break in the sewer force main, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) has recommended a precautionary boil water advisory for residences in the areas in red on the map. This is in coordination with both the City of Duncan and Island Health.

There is also a precautionary boil water advisory for ALL of the City of Duncan and also for ALL Cowichan Tribes facilities and buildings.

The boil water advisory ALSO INCLUDES all Longhouses.

Until further notice, water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, bathing babies, and any form of consumption should be brought to a rolling boil for AT LEAST 1 minute. Cool before use.

Toilets can continue to be flushed.

Sampling and testing will start on Monday, December 1, 2025, and will be in place until further notice. Water sampling takes at least two days to complete.

Please share with family and friends in these areas.

We will provide regular updates.

Cowichan Tribes citizens can call They'she'num' at (250) 715-3377 for further information from 8:30-4:30pm (closed from 12-1pm).
