THIS WILL BE MY LAST POST ON THIS SITE !
During these past 20 years that I have had the opportunity of treating many of you has not only been my most rewarding but also my most memorable of my professional life.

This past year under the Covid-19 Pandemic has also been my most challenging both professionally & personally.

It is with much sadness that I have to inform you that I will be taking an earlier than planned retirement from the profession.

My last day as an R.M.T. with Dundas Valley Massage at Highland Physio will be on Friday October 15th 2021.

You can continue massage therapy treatments with our other very capable R.M.T.

Thank you all for your support that you have given me over the years I am & will always be forever grateful.

Sue Prescott, R.M.T.

This is the most current information as per CMTO.

"The Ontario Government announced that the province will enter a province wide shutdown on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. As part of the province wide shutdown, all regions of Ontario will have new restrictions similar to regions currently in lockdown. Learn about the time-limited restrictions during the province wide shutdown.

Although the current restrictions do not directly impact the ability of Massage Therapists (MTs/RMTs) to provide healthcare services, the temporary closure of establishments such as spas and gyms may impact some RMTs and clients".

ALSO......."Massage Therapy treatment is considered essential when it can be demonstrated that the client’s overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided (i.e. lead to hospitalization or other serious health consequences). CMTO recommends prioritizing clients with essential care needs in gradually resuming practice".

In addition.....

"RMTs must also consider the principle of minimizing harm, highlighted by both the Chief Medical Officer of Health and in CMTO’s Code of Ethics. In determining whether it is best to provide Massage Therapy treatment to a client, an RMT must always weigh the potential harm that could be done to the client (e.g. contracting COVID-19 and/or spreading it within their community) against the potential benefit of the treatment".

"STRENGTH... is in our hands

LOVE...is in our hands

Together, there's nothing they can't do" !

Due to the continuing coronavirus the clinic will be closed for a further 4 weeks.
We will be hoping to re-open the first week of June & you can call to make your appointments then.
I thank you for your continued understanding.
So until then, be kind, be safe.

The most recent notice from the C.M.T.O. is as follows:
"The closure of non-essential businesses means all healthcare professionals in Ontario are restricted from providing anything other than emergency/urgent care. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Massage Therapy is not emergency/urgent care, so Massage Therapists (MTs/RMTs) should not practice".

04/12/2020

Due to the continuation of the Covid-19 virus the clinic will extend the date to re-open to May 4th.
In this time I ask that you continue to self isolate & keep the required physical distance so we can get this virus under control.
In the mean time...be kind, be safe.
