🌟 One more sleep! We can hardly wait. 🌲🎅🏻😍

Join us tomorrow night for the Dunnville Santa Claus Parade & Light Up Night, followed by the magical Tree of Hope lighting at Central Park! The Mapleview School Choir will be there to spread cheer with festive carols and help countdown to the lighting of the beautiful tree.

Warm up with delicious hot chocolate from Wonderbar, available by donation — all proceeds will benefit the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation and the Salvation Army Food Bank.

The parade will pass Central Park on both sides, so you can easily gather nearby and won’t have to walk far to enjoy the festivities.

🫶 This is truly one of the most wonderful days of the year in our charming town of Dunnville, and we can't wait to share it with all of you!

We’re excited to introduce PenFinancial’s new Truly Local Love Award 💚: a staff-driven initiative that honours the incredible non-profit and community organizations our employees personally support. To take part, employees nominated an organization where they’ve volunteered within the past year. Every nomination went into a random draw, because each organization is equally deserving of recognition and love.

Today, we’re proud to announce our very first recipient: the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation (DHHF), nominated by our Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, Tetje Allan. As part of the award, DHHF will receive a $1,000 donation on Tetje’s behalf, supporting essential medical equipment and helping ensure quality care remains close to home.

Tetje’s connection to the Foundation runs deep. This year, she dedicated 28 volunteer hours to the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign, spending days baking and decorating cookies to raise funds for new medical equipment for the Dunnville Hospital. Thanks to dedicated volunteers like her, the spring campaign raised more than $60,000, earning Dunnville Tim Hortons location the title of #2 in Canada for Smile Cookie sales. Tetje also fundraised for and participated in the Hearts and Soles Walk, an annual event that brought in approximately $21,000 this year alone. She has supported both initiatives for many years, consistently showing up for the hospital that means so much to the community.

In her nomination, Tetje shared that a $1,000 donation would help DHHF purchase critical medical equipment, particularly items reaching the end of their useful life — investments that help keep local care accessible for everyone in the Dunnville area. She also highlighted how important it is to have a small-town hospital that continues to offer a full Emergency Department and a wide range of diagnostic services, especially at a time when so many small hospitals face reduced services or closure. Knowing that the hospital remains strong, close by, and ready to care for the community is a comfort to many.

We’re honoured to celebrate Tetje’s dedication and to support the Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation as our first Truly Local Love Award recipient. 🍃✨
