Grief is more than sadness—it’s an alchemical process of the soul.

What parts of yourself are being transformed right now?
Sometimes loss clears space for unseen growth. 🌱

Outlooks of the Bereaved on Experiencing a 'Good Death' is conducting a study, please see their ask below:
"As part of the Nonreligion in a Complex Future project, we are conducting a survey that explores perspectives and experiences on death and dying. If you have experienced the death of someone close to you in the past 12 months, please consider completing this brief online survey. The survey should take roughly 10-20 minutes to complete, and will ask questions about services that the deceased utilized and their overall experiences throughout the dying process. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the research team by email (cmiller5@uottawa.ca). " To complete the survey, follow this link: https://utampa.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bpx7hiIzvFCtO8C

Take part in a survey to help inform the future of end of life care!

Our research team is looking for individuals who have recently experienced the death of someone close to them to complete a survey. The project explores how people experience and imagine and good death, and seeks the perspectives of those who have recently accompanied someone through the dying process. This survey will ask questions about what types of services the deceased may have accessed, and if/how these provided support.

The survey is completely anonymous. No identifying information will be recorded.
The survey is available in English, for those who live in Canada, the US, UK, and Australia. Translations are available for those who live in Brazil or Argentina. The estimated completion time is less than 20 minutes.

🎉 Milestone Announcement

We’re proud to share that the Death Doula Certificate offered through CHEN is now recognized by the End of Life Doula Association of Canada (EOLDAC).

This recognition is an important milestone for our program and for the growing community of people committed to compassionate, informed end-of-life support.

Death Doulas play an increasingly vital role in helping individuals and families navigate one of life’s most profound transitions — offering presence, guidance, education, and advocacy alongside healthcare teams and community supports.

Our Death Doula Certificate was designed to provide practical, evidence-informed education that prepares participants to support people at end of life with skill, compassion, and confidence.

Being recognized by EOLDAC affirms the quality and integrity of the program and the importance of accessible, high-quality education in end-of-life care.

We are grateful to the community of educators, practitioners, and learners who continue to build capacity and awareness around death literacy and compassionate care.

If you’ve been feeling called to this work, this may be the moment to explore it.

For layered, long-term, or complex grief, the 12-Week Grief Alchemy Journey provides a deeper level of accompaniment.

Over time, patterns, beliefs, and unspoken stories can emerge — and this journey allows space to meet them gently and integrate grief into daily life.

This container helps you:
✨ Develop trust and continuity over time
✨ Explore emotional, somatic, and meaning-making layers
✨ Integrate grief with patience and care
✨ Cultivate practices that evolve with your journey

If your grief is woven into life and identity, this longer journey offers space for healing, understanding, and compassion. 🤍
