Health Canada has approved the Comirnaty (Pfizer) vaccine for use in children 5-11. This is a different dose and schedule than the vaccine approved for individuals 12+.
For the initial rollout pharmacies will not be providing this vaccine, unless in remote communities. It will be provided through AHS vaccination centres.

On September 20,2021 some businesses will require a proof of vaccination or a negative covid-19 test within 72 hours.
Edgemont Pharmacy is still providing covid 19 vaccines, but we are also offering rapid covid 19 antigen tests for ASYMPTOMATIC testing now.
The results of the test can be used for travel purposes as well (please confirm what test your destination accepts. Rapid antigen tests are currently accepted for travel to the United States).
Rapid tests are provided for $40.

We will be offering the Pfizer vaccine starting Thursday June 3rd,2021. Now booking appointments for individuals who had their first shot in March.

This may be temporary and will potentially switch back to offering the Moderna vaccine based on incoming supply. For those individuals who received Moderna from us, I hope to have more information by the end of this week or early next week.

Edgemont Pharmacy will begin offering the Moderna covid-19 vaccination starting the week of Mar 29/21 (exact date is based on when vaccine will be shipped to us).

Adding your name on the waitlist also allows us to contact you if there is an appointment available last minute or when the next phase of vaccinations open up.
