A new year, new beginnings....
While the world has just celebrated the finale of 2025, and entered into 2026 with resolutions and excitement, some of you are transitioning in your own unique way, carrying the weight of grief with you. Perhaps it's a fresh loss, or maybe it's one that has been consuming you for some time. (Grief doesn't move quickly in any sense.) Perhaps you've already experienced loss in this brand new year. For those of you struggling, my wish for you is gentleness, and I leave you with this friendly reminder that your pace is the right pace. Jamie Anderson once said "Grief is love with nowhere to go. " That love remains and is not diminished because of the calendar year. Let this year be one of balance, welcoming moments of peace happiness (without guilt) and honouring memories of the past.

What is a death doula?
A death doula is a nurturing presence who offers non-medical support that guides a dying person's transition toward dignity, peace, meaning, and honor.

My commitment to you:
I understand that, due to the sensitive nature of death and grief, sharing your story can feel vulnerable. I promise to treat your journey with the highest sensitivity. My inclusive space is always a safe place, guaranteeing you'll be met with both respect and confidentiality.

The holidays can amplify the quiet ache of grief. Pace yourself and give yourself permission to rest. Moments of stillness will be needed, but be careful about keeping yourself sequestered for too long. While big celebrations with family and friends can feel overwhelming, moments of quiet connection in smaller spaces can offer safety, and allow you to feel more grounded. This will be a new journey for you, so please be gentle with yourself this Christmas, and know that it's okay if your joy is intertwined with sorrow.

Alecia

Hello everyone.

My little buddy Hope needs a hero. The details below shared with permission from her mom. Please remember that every share matters!

Hopey, an amazing little fighter with a personality we all love and adore, needs a stem cell donor. She has spent far too long battling a rare cancer, and a stem cell transplant is now her critical next step. She and her family are hoping for a hero.

The donor will need to donate stemcells. It is a 1 day procedure and requires 1 needle from your large vein.
To qualify you must be between the ages of 17-35, in good health and be a match. Below is a link to have a testing kit sent directly to your home. Please reach out to Connie Gordon and she will provide you with details.

Let’s share the word to help our Little Baby Stanley.

Hello to my "Cherished" followers. Samuel has been missing since June 1st, and he needs to be returned to his family. There are lots of speculations circulating on social media as to what has happened to him and where he may be, however, I'm not willing to entertain any of the details, being that that's not what this is about. Posting theories or tips publicly can impede the investigation, and the family needs answers on their 14 year old boy. If anyone has tips, please report to the Edmonton Police or anonymously to Crime Stoppers. You can also help by hanging posters or joining in searching for him, either by teaming up with organized searches, or organizing your own. You can join the "Bring Samuel Bird Home" Facebook group to connect with his family to learn where they need help searching. I recommend sending a private message to one of the admins of the group to keep sensitive information off social media. The family truly needs all the help they can get. 🧡

Happy Friday! Many of you may have noticed I've been silent for a bit. While I have been working with people behind the scenes, I've also taken some time to prioritize myself. I was lacking inspiration, and was feeling stuck. I'm one that's never okay to just stay there, so I've been focused on letting go of things that are no longer serving me, so I can create the life I want. As we all know life is short, and I refuse to have regrets when I'm at the end of mine. I'm back and ready to go!

Today is supposed to be beautiful! Make the most of it! If you're currently struggling, at the very least, please take 5 minutes to go outside, breathe in the fresh air, and let the sun shine on your face. Have a great day!

Alecia 💕

Shoutout to Cord from The Brewhouse for teaming up with me for the Michelle King benefit dinner. Thank you to all the servers that took care of everyone that attended, and the band for the entertainment. Thank you Faith for helping me sell tickets, and to all of you who purchased and donated in some way. I am grateful that Michelle was able to attend the event and feel the love and support around her. Our community really shows up when one of our own needs us, so thank you for your generosity and support! Keep up the good work Lloydminster! 👏

*EDIT! I finally have the tickets and can start delivering over the weekend, or if you pm or text me, I can have you come grab them from me at work! There was a misprint on the tickets, so I will be at the event for 6, just to be safe! 💕

Lloyd Friends, save the date! I will be hosting this cancer benefit event, and selling tickets to support my old coworker and friend Michelle King. Because this is being done on short notice, I'm waiting for the physical tickets, but am taking names and numbers of anyone who wants to come to the Brewhouse for a steak. 50/50 tickets will be sold at the event. PM me or text 639-536-3727.
