To The Core Pilates and Nutrition is a locally owned studio that turns 17 this year!

Located just west of the downtown core we are massive supporters of our local charities as well as huge advocates for Discover Lloydminster and Think Lloyd First programs. Owned and operated by Donna Schellenberg, we began as a small family oriented facility which has grown with her own family over the years. We treat our clients as a part of our family and believe everyone that steps through our doors deserves the absolute best of what we have to offer. Our purpose has always been to awaken a life of limitless joy in others. Although that may sound strange to some, our clients have overcome massive obstacles that impacted every area of their lives. When you're in pain it's tough to enjoy life. It's difficult to move well, do the activities you love with the people you love the most. Often pain impacts incomes and jobs. Most often it impacts our relationships, our sense of self worth and our confidence. Finding joy in moving again gives people back their freedom and a new outlook for the future. We are proud to help people do just that. At To the Core Pilates & Nutrition it is our mission to encourage lifestyle choices that will improve health over the long term and to improve the quality of life of every client. We offer Therapeutic Pilates and specialize in pre and post natal health as well as post rehab care for hip and knee replacements as well as spinal issues such as scoliosis or disc herniations. To the Core also offers personalized Nutrition Coaching. We work with you to develop smart, effective eating choices to meet your fitness and health goals. Together, we will develop and analyze your habits, dietary needs, and track your progress with the support and resources you need. We believe in creating healthy and sustainable habits that last a lifetime and creating realistic goals and expectations for ourselves. No quick fixes or "no pain, no gain" workouts to be found here. We teach our clients to be proactive about their health, listen to their own bodies and to become advocates for their own health and wellness.

𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 at the studio! We heard you're tired, so we are launching a brand new class called 𝐍𝐚𝐩-𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬.

It is exactly what it sounds like. You come in, get cozy on the reformer, and we dim the lights for 50 minutes of pure, uninterrupted sleep. No footwork. No planks. Just napping.

We even provide the blankets!

While we won’t be hosting official nap times, we do know how important rest is for your healing. If you are feeling burnt out or in pain, our MELT Method workshops are the next best thing to a nap for your nervous system.

If I had a dollar for every time a prospective client cried during our initial conversation, I’d have a lot of money.

These amazing humans who sit down in front of me have often spent years or even decades holding in their pain.

Whether it’s their lack of self-confidence, their unhappiness with life situations, or sometimes even the fact that they’ve lost their identities somewhere along the way, I’ve talked with many deeply unhappy people.

And it’s almost like they’ve held it all in for so long that the moment I start asking questions about their goals, dreams, and past experiences, their emotions just explode.

Sadly, so many people walk around with no one asking them on a deeper level how they’re really doing. Because they’re not ‘fine’ as so many people say.

And when I finally get down to it and start to pull emotion out of them, their hearts pour onto the table through their tears.

It breaks my heart, but it also lets me know that they’re ready.

Not only are they ready to embrace my fitness and nutrition coaching to make themselves so much more confident, energetic, and healthy, but they’re ready to be vulnerable.

They’re ready to admit they need help and support.

They’re ready to prioritize themselves and tell others what their needs are because they know that they matter.

They ready to open up and be vulnerable in a whole new way.
And that is where inner and outer transformation become truly possible.

How much time do you get in a day?

Menopause is one of the biggest hormonal transitions in a woman’s life - and yet most of us were never taught what to expect.

If you think your instructors always look perfectly graceful, this video is for you!

We were trying to film a quick clip of the “Open Leg Rocker,” but the mat definitely won this round. This exercise takes a lot of balance and deep core control to stay upright.

Even after years of teaching, we still have days where we just end up rolling around and laughing. That is the whole point of a movement practice.

It is not about being perfect or looking like a polished Instagram ad. It is about showing up for yourself and doing the work, even when you wobble.

Here at the studio we care about helping you move better so you can enjoy your life without back pain or stiffness.

April is just around the corner, and our new session is ready for you!

At To The Core, we don't really do drop-in culture. We know that real healing for things like pelvic floor, back pain, or post-rehab weakness takes a bit of commitment. That is why our clients love these regularly scheduled weekly sessions. It is a dedicated time just for you to rebuild your strength.

Current clients register until March 20 and returning clients start registering on March 23. If you see a class you are interested in please reach out and let us know.. spaces are filling quickly.

You don't have to live with pelvic pain, leaking, or poor posture as your 'new normal'.

These are signs that you are experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. This condition involves changes with the pelvic muscles that make doing various activities very uncomfortable and even painful and can also be stressful being in public settings for fear of leaking.

Breathing is your super power.

Something as simple as breathing can help improve your pelvic floor dysfunction. Learning to breathe, allowing movement through your ribcage, engaging your abdominals, and creating flow between the diaphragm and pelvis will help strengthen the pelvic floor and your core and improve your posture.
