He was wagging his tail so hard his whole body shook!
Aloka pressed his whole body into the monk, leaning with so much trust and happiness they nearly lost their balance together.
And in that moment, even through a screen, you could feel it.
Love like that is unmistakable. 🐾
If you’re meeting him for the first time, this is Aloka the Peace Dog.
After time apart, Aloka has found his way back to the Buddhist monks he travels with, and the reunion was tender, emotional, and deeply moving.
From now on, he will stay with them as they continue their long walk across the country for peace.
The monks are walking 2,300 miles with a simple intention: to carry peace, compassion, and mindfulness into every place they pass.
Aloka walks with them, sometimes on his own paws, sometimes in loving arms, bringing joy wherever he goes.
A few weeks ago, Aloka had surgery on his leg.
He’s still healing, and for now his body needs rest more than roads.
You’ll often see him being carried or riding along while he recovers, wrapped in care and patience. No pressure. No rushing. Just love guiding the process. Healing, like peace, takes time.
Aloka has a gentle presence that softens people. He leans in. He listens. He comforts without asking anything in return.
And there’s a small heart-shaped mark on his head… a show of all the love he brings into the world
He is beloved. He is cared for. He will heal slowly and with intention.
In a world that can feel heavy, Aloka is a quiet reminder that compassion is still alive… walking, resting, and showing up exactly as needed 🤍
