An incredible story about Alberta's own Charlotte, just one of many transplant kids alive and thriving today because of the excellent research and clinical care occurring right here!

At six weeks old, Charlotte went from pink to blue. She had a heart attack. Over the next few years, Charlotte remained in active heart failure. Her heart simply wasn’t functioning well enough to keep her alive. Luckily, just before her third birthday, she received a new heart.

Today, 6-year-old Charlotte is living life to the fullest. All thanks to Dr. Lori West’s research, and the generosity of a donor family. Read Charlotte’s full story and learn how you can support more breakthroughs.
