It’s Holiday Smile Cookie Week at Tim Hortons, and 100 percent of proceeds go directly to local charities that support meaningful programs in our community. To join the spirit of giving, our operations team surprised our incredible admin team with a box of Holiday Smile Cookies as a heartfelt thank-you for the work they do every single day.
Their dedication keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and this small gesture was a sweet way to recognize the impact they make across our organization.
A little gratitude, a little icing, and a whole lot of smiles.

How to Reframe Your Negative Self-Talk
Negative self-talk can become a quiet but persistent barrier to confidence, motivation, and emotional well-being. When those automatic thoughts show up, pausing to notice them, questioning the evidence behind them, and responding with compassion can help shift your mindset in a healthier direction.
Reframing does not mean ignoring your feelings. It means giving yourself the same understanding and kindness you would offer someone you care about. With practice, supportive self-talk can become a powerful tool for reducing stress and strengthening resilience.
If negative thoughts are impacting your daily life, speaking with a trained mental health professional can help you learn personalized strategies for managing them.
We’re excited to announce that Insight Psychological now offers direct billing for SunLife clients, in addition to Great-West Life, Blue Cross, and Greenshield.
This update means less paperwork and fewer upfront costs, making it easier for you to access the care you need and focus on your mental health. You can also claim fees for psychological services as tax-deductible health care expenses on your income tax return.

Fear is a natural part of growing up — but what if, instead of avoiding it, children could learn to face it in a safe and supportive way? That’s the idea behind scary play, a therapeutic approach that blends play and exposure to help kids explore fear in small, manageable doses.
By engaging in activities like telling spooky stories, acting out pretend scary scenes, or watching lighthearted “scary” shows, children can practice emotional regulation in a setting that feels fun and controlled. This gentle exposure helps them understand that fear doesn’t have to be overwhelming — it’s something they can navigate and recover from.
Over time, scary play can help reduce anxiety, improve confidence, and teach children valuable coping skills that transfer into real-life challenges. It gives them the opportunity to experiment with bravery and discover their own ability to manage difficult emotions.
We’re so proud to celebrate our psychologist, Sabrina Brady, for being named one of this year’s Top 40 Under 40 honourees! 🌟 Sabrina has built a career rooted in empathy, connection, and compassion — creating space for people to feel seen and understood. Congratulations, Sabrina! 👏
