The grief no one talks about.
Not all losses are visible.
Some don’t come with funerals, casseroles, or the language we usually reserve for grief.
Ambiguous loss shows up when something changes but doesn’t fully end,
a relationship that shifts, a loved one who’s physically present but emotionally distant, a future you planned for that no longer fits.
And then there’s the loss of identity that follows job changes, illness, caregiving, or the end of a relationship.
It’s the quiet ache of not recognizing who you are anymore, or wondering where the old version of you went.
Therapy creates space to name these invisible losses.
It helps people rebuild meaning, reconnect with their values, and slowly craft a new sense of self, one that honours what was and makes room for what’s next.
You’re not “overreacting.”
You’re grieving something real.
You deserve support as you find your way forward.
