Chicken, a resilient 3-year-old cat, faced a life-threatening condition known as Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD). Despite numerous health challenges and escalating costs, Alexandra refused to give up on Chicken. She adopted him and launched the "Saving Chicken" campaign, rallying the community's support for his life-saving surgery on December 1, 2022. The overwhelming love and generosity of the community led to Chicken's successful recovery, inspiring Alexandra to create Raise A Bottle To Save A Whisker to help other pets in need. Pongo, a beloved family cat in St. Albert, was the first pet helped by the initiative. In October 2023, he suffered a severe injury from a vehicle accident, and his family couldn't afford the urgent treatment he needed. The "Raise A Bottle To Save A Whisker: Support Pongo!" campaign brought the community together once again, ensuring Pongo's recovery and reaffirming the mission of Raise A Bottle To Save A Whisker.
