Ditch the scale for a while, and pay attention to your body in ways that have nothing to do with your weight.

⚡️How is your mood? Are getting agitated quickly? Are you anxious often?

⚡️Do you feel like you have no or low interest in the bedroom?

Here is a high protein snack idea for all my salmon lovers 🐟

Spread a layer of plain cream cheese over 1/2 a toasted bagel. Layer with a generous amount of smoked salmon ( for reference I had about 45g) and top with your desired amount of capers

It is not only rich in flavour and nutrients to curb those cravings, but a whopping 16grams of protein!

Third day in a row I’ve made this…

I am a HUGE advocate for putting forth your best effort

Buuuut

If you feel defeated while trying to achieve your goals because you think your efforts aren’t good enough…

I’m here to tell you, you will continue to spin your wheels

Done is always better than perfect

The reps will create momentum and give you confidence to push forward

BREAK-FAST 🍳🥑🥞🍓

Is it really the most important meal of the day?

For me… arguably…yes

I’m a morning breakfast lover, but that doesn’t mean it has to fall in the AM for everybody

The first meal you begin your feeding window with breaks your overnight fast, whether that be 7am or 2pm

Regardless of the timing, nutrient choice is important

Here are a few reasons I am choosy with my break-fast:

⚡️Sleeping = fasting
That initial meal after waking is the first opportunity for me to replenish micronutrient levels with essential vitamins, minerals and other nutrients

⚡️Insuring my first meal of the day is rich in protein, fibre and healthy fat helps stabilize my blood sugar early so I’m not reaching for sweets and sugar mid afternoon

⚡️A balanced meal soon after I wake up provides nutrients and fuel so I can perform my best during my workouts and daily activities

How do we engineer wellness? 

When people think of wellness often the physical aspect of it is first to come to mind

While it’s true that exercise, nutrition, and weight management are important, they are not the primary determining factor 

Wellness focuses on improving your longevity, lowering your risk of disease and improving your quality of life 

Who doesn't want to live a longer life with more energy free of illness? 🙋🏼‍♀️

A holistic integration of wellness encompasses the dimensions of:

Physical
Mental
Emotional
Spiritual
Social and
Environmental
