This workshop will cover prevention strategies, early recognition, and life-saving skills in the event that a baby or child is choking or stops breathing for any reason.

This community night is sponsored by Pine Health's Community Access Program which means the workshop is only $20 per person to attend and the rest is covered by us!

Our forest is excited to share we are now offering Sensory backpacks at both our locations. These resources are available for our neurodivergent clients, who live with Sensory Processing Disabilities who sometimes do not have the ability to filter external stimuli. With these resources being accessible for our families, we are hoping to make our clients visits to our clinics less difficult and more inclusive for their needs.

Children’s Charity have created these backpacks filled with resources for self regulation, tactile input, attention focusing tools, and body awareness

Their goal with these backpacks and our hopes for their use at our clinic are to:
❤️Help manage the sensory bombardment children may experience,
❤️Help reduce the stress of parents knowing they will have support when they step into our clinic,
❤️Help reduce the frequency and intensity of behaviours that are often triggered by sensory overload
❤️Help make outings more enjoyable and positive for both the child and their family.

These resource rich backpacks are accessible in each of our waiting rooms for your use during your visit at our clinic and with your practitioner.

We are SO EXCITED to announce the WELCOMING of Nicole to our Psychologist Team!!! You might recognize this little gem if you’ve been in our clinic before, and that’s because Nicole (while in school) was one of our Admin Extraordinaire’s! She’s been absorbing all the wisdom and working hard to break into the world of supporting kids & families in their journeys! 🖤 Welcome back to the forest Nicole!!!

We can’t believe it’s August! Where has the summer gone?!

With that being said, we know that the start of school year is around the corner! With transitions may come angst & uncertainty for our kiddos (and of course, for the parents!)

Our Pine Cone practitioners acknowledge that transitioning kids back into a routine can be difficult, and so we created this multi-disciplinary workshop. We will be discussing so much: ways to handle separation anxiety, to manage parent burnout when packing lunches, appropriate water bottles for oral function to backpack wearing…and so much more!!!

We will have limited in-person spots at our YEG location but we will be offering a zoom link for folks who would prefer to stay in the comfort of their home!
