🦋 Karen Gaudin has opened three rare clinic days before the year ends! ✨️

🌈 Nov 24, Dec 22 and Dec 23 are now available for all returning and NEW client bookings too 🙌

Karen is a Registered Psychologist who works with adult clients. Her expertise is in supporting and treating clients struggling with addictions related to substances and out of control behaviours, trauma and ADHD.
She also has experience working with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, OCD, s*x and gender, identity, expression, relationships, neurodivergence and more! 🦋

Her clinical work is eclectic and integrates DBT, CBT, exposure therapies and somatic mind body practices. Her approach is LGBTQ+, BIPOC, kink, lifestyles, and neurodiverse affirming. Her work is trauma integrated. She brings lived experience as a q***r and neurodivergent therapist, with her own history in recovery and being a survivor 🌈

She offers therapy, specialized addictions services and adult psychological and forensic assessments across Alberta 🇨🇦

🐕🐾 Yoshi helped celebrate Authentic You turning 2 yesterday, and him also turning 12 this month, on November 22 🎊🎆

He was fully tortured with his tiny celebration hat and tie... 🎉🐶🎩. He hated every minute, but was a good boy, and I still took a couple photos 😅

Yoshi had surgery for a lumpectomy last Saturday, so I had to work from my home office this week. However I am super grateful for the flexibility psychologists have to shift to virtual care when life happens 💻📞 It lets me support and still be here for my clients, give Yoshi his pain medication on time, and keep him from bothering his sutures between sessions ❤️‍🩹

I expect to be back in the clinic next week and I am looking forward to returning to our space and seeing clients in person! Regardless of the nasty white stuff thats on the ground... ✨️❄️

🎉🦋🌈 Two years of Authentic You!!! 🦋🌈🎉

A year ago I had Melissa, one office, and a vision that felt bigger than what I could see in front of me 🛣🫡

This year we found our dream space, leased it for 5 years, and launched the full clinic in June 2025! And everything changed ✨️

The growth has been real. So have the growing pains... Running a multi practitioner clinic is tough, to say the least. Hard decisions. Constant learning. LOTS of mistakes. Daily pressure to lead, while still being a psychologist 😪

I never expected it to be easy. However it is harder than I ever could have imagined; but it is also the most meaningful and beautiful work I have ever had the honour of doing in my life 🥰

I could not have done any of this without Melissa 💯 SHE IS THE REAL MVP!!! 💖

She has been here 3 quarters of AY's existence. She has supported every transition, every system change, and every unexpected challenge. She is the reason this clinic stays organized and grounded 🧘‍♀️

The flowers in these photos are from her dropping them off to my house this morning... she is such a gem, so hardworking and such a good human 🥹

Savanna has also been a breath of fresh air, fitting right in with our team culture, and a strong support as our volunteer; helping with care, presence, and clinic tasks 🙏

Our psychologists have shown up with skill, compassion, and professionalism, making it possible to serve clients across Alberta 🍁

Two years in.
Still learning.
Still adjusting.
Still growing into the clinic I always dreamed of.
One step at a time... 🫶 👏

👋 This week we are spilling the tea on Authentic You: Counselling, Assessment & Addictions Services Inc... 🍵👀

Each day you will see a new corner of our space we moved into June 2025, as we count down to our very special announcement later this week ✨

When you first walk in to our doors, you see our beautiful sparkly marble counter top, with a tea and coffee bar, all set up and ready to go ☕🫖

Enjoy many options for different types of teas, coffees, creamers, sweeteners, and the cutest to-go cups too ❤️

Then the space really opens up! Soft lightning. Plants. Textures. Comfortable seating that feels like home, not a clinic (which was an important goal when designing the space) 🪷🧘‍♀️

We are a no outdoor shoes/ boots space.
Slippers, socks, or barefoot only 🧦 We also provide slippers and boot covers at the front as well. Clients say this clinic norm helps them know our space is clean, while feeling grounded and relaxed, unlike a lot of office spaces 🦶

You will also find our take-a-book, leave-a-book, book tree 📚 Psychology, mental health, and self-help themed. Something meaningful to browse, take with you, or contribute to 🥰

We built this space to feel supportive, warm, and lived in 🩵💙 A place you can settle into yourself, without pressure to be anyone but the AUTHENTIC YOU! 🦋
