Born and raised in Edmonton, Eden is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) who moved to Toronto, Ontario in 2011 and also completed his schooling at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2017, before moving back west. He has always looked for ways to help people lead healthier lives both mentally and physically, and believes that Massage Therapy is an amazing way for people to improve both of these aspects of their lives. Through proper intake and assessment, Eden is able to formulate a treatment plan unique to the specific needs of the individual that he is working with at that moment. Incorporating various techniques such as fascial release, swedish, deep tissue, trigger point release, joint mobility/joint play, and facilitated stretches, he is able to work towards alleviating the symptom(s) and creating a positive change.

There are a variety of benefits that massage can provide an individual!

And while some benefits may take a few treatments to show, there are definitely a few (such as the easing of minor aches & pains, and increased relaxation) that you’ll be able to notice right away!

If you’re looking to have some musculoskeletal issues (sprains, strains, aches & pains) worked on, or you just want to come in and shut your mind off for a little bit, make sure to book yourself in for a massage and help get yourself back to better health!

It’s that time of year again! No not just the impending holiday season, but Benefits Season!

You’ve got them, so you might as well use them before (most of) you lose them at the end of the calendar year!

Along with those benefits you’ve accidentally saved up or forgotten about over the last 10 months, you’ve likely also “saved up” some problem areas, injuries, and/or general aches & pains that are in need of some work as well. But hey, it’s also just as nice to come in and wind down a bit after a long work day too.

So don’t forget to book in your massage appointments for the remaining 2 months of 2022!

Just a friendly reminder to always give yourself a bit of extra time when arriving to your appointments.
And if you’re running behind, please do not hesitate to call in about it.
The courtesy is always appreciated!
Between the many construction sites throughout the city, various festivals going on in/around downtown, AND this weeks Edmonton and area visit from the Pope, there’s pretty much a guarantee that there will be delays on your commute and/or while finding parking.

Defined by Webster’s dictionary as “a place intended to be free of bias, conflict, criticism, or potentially threatening actions, ideas, or conversations”, having/maintaining a safe and inclusive treatment space is such an integral part of my practice for both myself as the massage therapist, and as well for you, the client coming in for your appointment!

When you come to see me for a massage treatment, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible, knowing you’re in a place where you can be who you are/how you identify, & feel safe enough to be able to relax and put life’s challenges and stresses on hold, even if only for a short bit.

Creating and maintaining a treatment space that feels safe and secure also benefits the massage treatment itself as there is usually less muscle tension to try to work through, and less resistance from you while I am working on you/moving you around on the table. The decrease in muscle tension and resistance means potentially better results with regards to the concerns you’ve come in with that day.

Should you ever feel uncomfortable or unsure of something when you are coming in for/already in your appointment, whether it’s with me or with any other healthcare professional you are seeing, never hesitate to speak up and ask questions. I would rather do my best to give you the answers & ease your concerns, or make adjustments to the treatment itself, in order to keep you relaxed and feeling secure rather than make you feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

Our bodies are not meant to be in one position for an extended period of time. In doing so, we end up overusing/straining certain muscles; tiring them out to the point that they become stiff and sore and potentially out of place. Repetitively maintaining one position, such as being seated for long hours (for work or school) on a daily basis, can take a person from a simple sore back/neck issue into more serious problems down the road!

The best thing a person can do to counter this is to be mobile and/or exercise on a daily basis. If you’re not the type of person that enjoys going to the gym (or you cannot access a gym) or doing home workouts, it can be something as simple as taking 20-30min out of your day to go for a walk/jog/run, a bike ride (in the milder seasons), or taking the dogs out for a stroll (if you have dogs, of course).

One of the other things I am constantly suggesting to my student and desk working clients (be it at home or the office/school) is to take a few micro breaks throughout the day! During these short breaks, take the time to do some stretches (such as the ones pictured in this post), stand up, take a short walk around the office/home, and maybe even grab a glass of water to rehydrate, and/or use this opportunity for a bathroom break while you’re at it!

It’s the action of shaking things up and keeping our bodies from being stagnant/sedentary that will really help reduce the soreness, the stiffness, and even things like brain fog and tiredness! It will also assist in your general rehabilitation and overall well-being between your massage appointments (or any other scheduled appointments you may have with any other health care professional)!

Due to the fairly seasonal fluctuations of “wear a mask/don’t wear a mask/now wear a mask again” over the past couple years (which, btw, I’m all for mask wearing), I’ve heard plenty of clients say they didn’t know what I looked like underneath the face coverings…
And thanks to the amazing , I’ve gotten some amazing updated pics for all the social medias and work website! So here you are… a current visualization of me! 😅
