Upcoming Sessions for Addictions Workshops. The sessions will be held at Savera Medical Clinic (6730 75 Street NW 2nd Floor) from 5:30-7 PM. The workshops are open to anyone of South Asian descent struggling with an addiction and/or mental health issues associated with their addiction.

The South Asian Network for Addiction & Mental Health will be hosting addiction workshops every second Thursday from 5:30-7:00 PM. The workshops will be held at Savera Medical Clinic and are open to anyone of South Asian descent struggling with an addiction and/or mental health issues associated with their addiction.

Last weekend, the SAN team was at the Gurukripa Edmonton Association's cultural event. It was a great turnout with folk dance performances and scriptures recitation. Thank you to board members for giving us the opportunity to share information about the South Asian Health Network- Addiction & Mental health program and booth set up. We look forward to continuing our commitment to raise awareness about addictions and mental health in the South Asian community.

On Sunday, the South Asian Network for Addiction and Mental Health Team was at the Hindu Society of Alberta Temple. We had a great turn out and lots of inquiries for mental health related information. Thanks to all the community members who came to our information table. We appreciate your support and feedback. Our thanks to the Management committee of Hindu Society of Alberta for giving us the opportunity to share information and booth set up.

The South Asian Network for Addiction & Mental Health is a new pilot aimed to help support individuals of the South Asian community struggling with addictions. As part of the project, individuals can have access to certified professionals such as psychiatrists, addictions counselors, a registered nurse and a community support worker. We can provide treatment and connect you with the appropriate resources. Our services are for individuals struggling with addictions, as well as their family members.
