We join Canadians across the country in remembering the heroes who fought for our freedom and those who continue to serve today.

At Canterbury, we are proud to share this day with residents who have lived through history, their stories remind us why remembrance matters.

Lest we forget.

🌿 Wellness isn’t just about staying active — it’s about staying connected.

At Canterbury, we believe belonging is one of the most powerful forms of care. Studies show that seniors who nurture social connections experience lower rates of depression, stronger immune systems, and greater life satisfaction.

Every shared smile, conversation, and moment of laughter builds more than friendship, it strengthens overall wellness. 💛

This is where community is at home, and life is well lived.

Today, Saturday,October 18, we celebrate Alberta Healthcare Aide Day. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for the incredible work you do every day.

Healthcare Aides are the heart of continuing care here at Canterbury Foundation. You provide compassionate, hands-on support that makes our residents feel safe, cared for, and valued. Your kindness, patience, and dedication shine through in every moment from a reassuring smile to the many quiet acts of care that often go unseen but never go unnoticed.

Your commitment to quality care and teamwork is truly inspiring. You make a difference not just in the lives of our residents, but also in the lives of their families and all of us who are fortunate to work alongside you.

Thank you for showing up each day with empathy, professionalism, and pride in what you do. Today, we celebrate you and the vital role you play in our community.

With great appreciation,
