Compassion Network is incredibly proud to announce the creation of the Jun Cai Memorial Scholarship. 🌟

This $1,000 educational award honours the legacy of Jun Cai, a beloved caregiver on our team who sadly passed away. Jun’s life was defined by resilience—leaving her home country, working multiple jobs, and returning to school to build a better life so she could care for others. She embodied the absolute best of the healthcare profession.

To honour her memory, we have created this scholarship to support the next generation of nurses, healthcare aides, therapists, and social workers who juggle their studies with work and family caregiving.

For our inaugural 2026 year, we are offering this award exclusively to our internal Compassion Network community to support our hardworking staff, their children, and our valued client families.

Today, we pause to remember.

We honour the members of our armed forces who have served and sacrificed for our freedoms. We remember the fallen, the wounded, and the families who support them.

At Compassion Network, we believe the best way to honour their service is with action, ensuring they can live with the dignity and independence they deserve. We are proud to be an approved provider for the Veterans Independence Program, helping veterans remain safe and comfortable in their own homes.

On this Day of Remembrance, we are reflecting on our ongoing commitment to those who served.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to listen, learn, and remember. We honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who were lost, and the families whose lives have been forever changed.

At Compassion Network, we believe that true care begins with understanding. Today is a day for all Canadians to deepen our understanding of the history and ongoing legacy of the residential school system. It is a day to reflect on the truths shared by Indigenous communities and to commit ourselves to the path of reconciliation.

Let's move forward with empathy and a shared commitment to action. Let's read the 94 Calls to Action, support Indigenous-led organizations, and amplify the voices of those who have been silenced for too long. Compassion requires action, and today, let that action be learning.

Today, on Remembrance Day, we honour and remember the brave men and women who sacrificed so much for our freedom. Their courage, resilience, and dedication inspire us all, and their legacy lives on in the lives we lead today.

As we wear our poppies and observe a moment of silence, we hold in our hearts all those who served—and continue to serve—with unwavering commitment. We’re grateful not only for their service but for the loved ones who stood by them.

At Compassion Network Home Care, we are especially grateful for the opportunity to care for veterans and their families. Thank you for your strength, your sacrifices, and the freedoms we are privileged to enjoy.
