A New Chapter (Built on 20 Years of Learning)!
After nearly 20 years in academia as a professor, researcher, mentor, and lifelong learner I’m stepping into a new season of my professional life with gratitude and excitement. I am not returning to full time teaching in the classroom next week!
I’m celebrating the success and growth of full-time private psychology practice clientele, where I now focus my energy on working with individuals and couples at https://www.neuroshifttherapy.ca/
This isn’t a departure from academia but an integration of it.
Two decades of teaching, research, neuroscience, behavioural science, and clinical training have shaped how I show up for my clients every day. That foundation has been invaluable in supporting people navigating trauma, PTSD, relationship distress, addiction, OCD, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. My own lived experiences how to navigate post-traumatic growth, life as an immigrant and challenging times in relationships help me to stay grounded in empathy and compassion.
I’m also grateful to continue teaching and supervising in Master’s-level counselling psychology programs, staying connected to training the next generation of clinicians while grounding my work in real-world clinical practice.
I feel incredibly fortunate to do work that aligns deeply with my values: science-informed, compassionate, relational, and passionate about psychological growth.
Thank you to the students, colleagues, mentors, clients, and community who have been part of this journey. I’m excited for what’s ahead—and for the meaningful work still to come. 🌱
