We build strong communities and people by addressing social and health-based inequities.
We work from an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) perspective, and understand that community building happens in many different ways from individual connections and relationship-building to systemic change. Areas of Focus:
Affordable Housing
Food Security
Health Care
Employment
Community Building

The landscaping at Matty’s Place is done and the building feels rooted in the community in a new way. Every part of this space was designed to support belonging and stability.
Next spring, our guests will fill the garden boxes with herbs, fruits, and veggies. We are excited to see them make it their own.

Happy Halloween from everyone at JPWC!🎃
Here are a few photos from our program-based housing sites that took part in a Halloween door-decorating contest.
Activities like this are rooted in connection and creativity, but they also open the door to building life skills, confidence, and community.

The Parkdale Healing Houses are rising!
Foundations are complete and framing has begun, marking an exciting new stage in construction.
This project is made possible through the collective support of the City of Edmonton - Local Government, the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation, CMHC, and many other partners.

Thank you to the Edmonton Police and the Edmonton Police Foundation for hosting the Cram the Cruiser event and creating a way for Edmontonians to give back.
Shoppers picked up donation bags at Superstore and filled police cars with food and toys for local families. A small act of kindness that shows how much this city cares!

Voting is one of the simplest ways to shape the city we live in.
If you’re unsure who reflects your values, Taproot’s survey can help you find out:

If you already know who you’re voting for, make sure you know where to go:
Every year, Page The Cleaner collects coats to keep our community warm.
Through their Coats for Kids campaign, donations are shared with partners like JPWC so families, neighbours, and children can have what they need for winter.
If you have a coat you no longer wear, this is a meaningful way to give it new life!
Coats for Kids & Families has officially begun!
From now until November 30 we are collecting gently used/new winter coats of all sizes, as well as snow pants, insulated boots, hats, mitts…all kinds of winter wear to help keep those in need warm this winter. 🧥 🧤 🧣
Drop off your donations at either of our locations:
📍Edmonton: 15342 111 Ave NW
📍 St Albert: 11 Bellerose Drive
Every donation helps an Edmontonian stay warm this winter. Let’s make a difference together! ❄️
Can you help our Community Health Centre with donations?

On Friday afternoon, a grandmother and her grandchild stopped in for a coffee. They didn’t have gloves, and when we checked our shelves, neither did we.
At our Community Health Centre, we welcome people from all walks of life. Small items, gloves, socks, body wash, or journals can offer warmth and connection when it’s needed most.

The last of the carrots are coming out of the ground, and the season is turning.
Our Healing House gardens stand between program and community, quiet and hopeful spaces that remind us healing can happen anywhere, even as the weather changes.
These gardens bring peace, dignity, and connection to the people who live in our housing and to the neighbourhoods around them.
If you believe in creating spaces that add beauty and belonging to our city, we invite you to support this work with a donation to Jasper Place Wellness Centre.
Every contribution helps us grow places that heal.
Be the first to know and let us send you an email when Jasper Place Wellness Centre posts news and promotions. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
We work with people and community-based assets from low-income and/or vulnerable neighbourhoods to fill the systemic and socio-economic gaps they face in both an individual and a community-wide context.
We work from an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) perspective, meaning we believe that all communities already have the tools, strengths, and abilities to become resilient, healthy collectives of people, while also creating systemic change. It is our job as a community leader to shift quickly to reflect community needs, to organize and, to empower people to accomplish these changes and/or goals.
