Today is the end of our early bird. And as news ripple about travel and possible expectations of bringing in passports to businesses- alberta has firmly stated it’s not going to. Not now- not in the future. No explanation- no defense- just no. So even if you didn’t want to enhance your learning and your skill- I don’t know why you wouldn’t flock to this province right now. It’s the only one beside Saskatchewan who is completely void of restrictions- and won’t bring in travel or access to business requirements. I don’t know how long this will last but know it won’t change in a month. I would be flocking here if I lived anywhere else- 🤷‍♀️but that’s just me and I digress.

The biggest thing we will unravel at our in person event September 11 is the neurology of distress. How so many chiropractors and their people leave so much on the table when they minimize a body to a symptom or try to detective an event that “made it happen” People DONT pop ribs out- put backs out- slip discs- low back blows out- pop a shoulder- or whatever weird slang ness we use or agree with. And it’s not from “sleeping wrong, picking up their child, sneezing, their pillow, bending over, brushing their teeth, or anything else we ask them the almighty question about “how did this happen ?” It doesn’t make sense to people because it’s not true.

Peoples bodies are a cumulation of their life to date. Your job isn’t a detective of events- nor is it a “rib popper back inner”.... you are the conduit between distress and ease. And the better conduit your hands and communication become- the more our world heals beyond “I just bent over wrong can you fix it?” This is why it’s called Technique Considerations for Complex needs- because people are complex. And your technique is yours. We aren’t teaching a new technique- we are facilitating an greater consciousness of YOURS.

In a research study on a concept called “deliberate practice”... a group of radiologists were studied on their CE training and improved skill set. What was discovered is the longer a radiologist is in practice WITHOUT getting feedback on their skills- the worse their skill became. 🤯.... It was also noted that general practitioners in practice who simply read research or listen to information also get worse over time. But surgeons who video their surgeries and watch it over and discuss ways to improved dramatically improve outcomes with their patients. DELIBERATE practice means a skill is being constantly honed- constantly PRACTICED- but not on your own. It requires FEEDBACK-TWEAK- IMPROVE. It does NOT improve dramatically through only observation, reading, or listening to others. It’s the feedback that matters....

Over the last year and a half we have seen so many of our docs get consumed with anything BUT their skill of Chiropractic- and skill with people. There has been so much to take our energy away from what we do well- and lots to focus on which depletes our energy and decreases our skills.... and this concept was the driving force our upcoming IN PERSON WORKSHOP. 🚫Sorry- pretty sure it’s only going to be available to Canadian docs due to travel restrictions 😬“Technique Considerations for Complex people”... combines both understanding how to communicate with our people BETTER while spending time focusing on the hands on delivery called CHIROPRACTIC... with bodies that are holding so much tension.

Our FIRST LIVE EVENT IN A YEAR AND A HALF🤯.... and it’s going to be a doozy..... my guess is, it will also be your first live event in some time as well... “Technique Considerations for working with People with Complex needs” is a full day of digging into Trauma Informed care- understanding the polyvagal theory through a Salutogenic lense- identifying and working with what we call the “Panic Pattern” of the nervous system- special focus on Occiput, ribs and sacrum.

Taught by myself and introducing for the FIRST TIME- Dr Don MacDonald on technique..... we are already 1/4 full with just our tribe. The hotel is small- so book early.
