April 2 marks the start of World Autism Acceptance Month.

This month is an opportunity to celebrate neurodiversity and recognize the strengths, perspectives, and contributions of Autistic individuals. Together, we can help build a community rooted in understanding, respect, and meaningful inclusion.

You may remember it being called World Autism Awareness Month. In 2021, the language shifted to acceptance to reflect what the Autistic and neurodivergent community has long emphasized: awareness is a moment, but acceptance requires ongoing action and commitment.

This month, we are raising funds for our inclusive summer programs and continuing to create spaces where our participants can truly be themselves. A place to be me! While some parts of camp are supported, there are still important pieces that rely on community support. The activities, experiences, and moments of connection are what make summer programming so meaningful.

Every gift helps create:

• Confidence
• Connection
• A true sense of belonging

Donate here: https://buff.ly/jmCaRNy and create lasting summer memories for Autistic children and youth in our community.

1. Promoting inclusivity and a society that values Autistic people and embraces neurodiversity as a valuable part of society.
2. Respecting differences and the unique strengths, abilities and challenges of Autistic people.
3. Empowering individuals by validating Autistic experiences and promoting self-advocacy.
4. Reducing stigma, challenging negative stereotypes and misconceptions, and fostering compassion and understanding.
5. Developing resources and supportive environments that cater to the diverse needs of Autistic people.
6. Building stronger communities that value the unique perspectives and talents of Autistic people.

We are 6 days away from World Autism Acceptance Day and the start of World Autism Acceptance Month.

This year, we’re excited to launch A Place to Be Me — a campaign focused on supporting our summer programs for Autistic kids and teens. These programs create opportunities for participants to try new activities, build confidence, form friendships, and enjoy the kind of fun summer experiences every young person deserves.

For many families, these programs provide a welcoming space where participants can feel comfortable being themselves while making meaningful memories that last long after summer ends.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing stories, impact, and opportunities to help create spaces and experiences where participants can try new things, build friendships, and simply enjoy being themselves.

We can’t wait to celebrate acceptance, inclusion, and belonging with you starting April 2. Stay tuned!

Parents and guardians can contact CFASA directly to request an assessment—NO DOCTOR'S REFERRAL NEEDED AND NO WAITLIST!

Feeling unsure? We now offer FREE 15-minute autism screening appointments.

These brief sessions take place at our office and help determine whether your child may benefit from a full autism assessment.

Brilliance doesn’t look just one way 🧠✨

Different ways of thinking. Different ways of learning. Different ways of seeing the world—and all of it matters.

During Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we’re celebrating all the ways the brain can be brilliant.

Because diversity in minds isn’t something to “fix”—it’s something to recognize, respect, and celebrate.
