Join Ancestry at RootsTech 2026
March 5 | Ancestry Team
Each year at RootsTech we come together as a genealogy community to connect with passionate family history researchers, and announce what’s new and upcoming at Ancestry.
Helping everyone discover, preserve, and share their family stories is Ancestry’s mission, and at RootsTech we’ll showcase new tools and technologies that are bringing those stories to life in powerful ways. Including AI Stories, which transforms records into vivid, spoken narratives, making history feel personal, emotional, and easier to understand through audio story, and Record Transcription, which can make indecipherable writings, like diaries and postcards, searchable and readable, brings these first-person stories to light for the first time on Ancestry. We’re also excited to share that Ancestry has grown our content collections to over 70 billion records. At RootsTech we’ll be showcasing some of our new collections including over 33 million Home Ownership Records and the newly available Arolsen Concentration Camp lists which include 8 million never before indexed records documenting victims of N**i persecution, opening access to one of the largest sets of Holocaust-era documents ever made searchable.
As we gather for RootsTech 2026, we’ll be celebrating not just the stories we learn and tell, but the shared history that connects us all. Throughout the conference Ancestry will be spotlighting “The Stories of US”, a national storytelling initiative honoring the everyday people whose contributions helped shape the United States over the past 250 years. Within the Ancestry booth there will be an area where attendees can submit their own real life family stories to be included in “The Stories of US” experience on Ancestry.
