A colonoscopy lets doctors see inside your colon and re**um using a thin tube with a light and camera.

They can:
Spot polyps or cancer
Remove polyps right away
Take biopsies for further testing

It’s both a diagnostic and preventive tool—and essential in higher-risk situations.

💬 What’s one question you’d ask before having a colonoscopy?

The F***l Immunochemical Test (FIT) is a simple, at-home test that checks for hidden blood in your stool.

✅ For average risk individuals
✅ Once a year
✅ No special diet needed

If blood is found, you’ll be referred for a colonoscopy.
It’s easy, it’s private, and it could save your life.

✨ Have you done a FIT before?
✨ Are you up to date with your FIT screening?

Did you know...

After a gestational diabetes (GDM) diagnosis, Diabetes Canada recommends breast/chest feeding for a minimum of 4 months to reduce the risk of neonatal hypoglycemia, childhood obesity, and diabetes in the child.

But this month is about the Mamas!!

Did you know that breast/ chest feeding in people diagnosed with GDM is helpful for them too!

Ziegler's group found that nursing after a GDM diagnosis reduced the median time to a type 2 diabetes diagnosis from 2.3 to 12.3 years!

Please note:
Breast/ chest feeding is not always possible and it is rarely easy. This post is meant for information purposes only and is not intended any way to shame those who choose not to or cannot breast/ chest feed.
