Real-life training happens on real walks.
Sunshine, sidewalks, and steady routines all play a role in developing reliable, adaptable service dogs. Warmer weather makes it that much more enjoyable to put the work in.

Venus is a sweet 1.5-year-old black Lab who is looking for her forever home as a companion dog.

Not every dog is meant to be a service dog, and that’s okay. Venus has so much love to give and would make an incredible friend for the right person or family. She’s kind, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s very best buddy.

If you or someone you know might be a good fit, please reach out or share this post.

Confidence starts small.
Early experiences with new textures, sounds, and environments help puppies learn how to think, adapt, and stay calm. These foundations grow into comfort on planes, trains, busy spaces, and everything in between.

Last but certainly not least, meet Hazel — the sweet girl of the group.
She may be the only girl in our latest group of pups in training, but she’s already holding her own with curiosity, confidence, and plenty of charm. We’re so excited to watch her grow, learn, and bring her own spark to the journey ahead.

We had a lovely visit today with the incredible e4c team, including Moose! 🐶

Moose is the facility dog for WEAC, the Women’s Emergency Accommodation Centre. He is a very good boy! 🥰

E4C has been doing important work for over 50 years to help vulnerable people in our community, so consider them for a year-end donation if you’re able! ♥️

Next up from our newest group of puppies starting training is Pistachio!

Every puppy brings something a little different to the journey, and watching those early personalities begin to shine is one of our favourite parts of the process. Pistachio is already bringing so much sweetness to the start of his training, and we can’t wait to see how he grows and learns along the way.

This week we’re introducing our newest group of puppies entering training! Meet Cashew, one of our latest pups starting his journey. Behind the puppy cuddles and oversized paws is a thoughtful approach to early development focused on building confidence, resilience, and a love of learning from the very beginning.

Food distraction training was the theme of the week for Mars, and he handled it like a champ. This sweet, snuggly boy always brings his whole heart to the job.

This training is a big part of preparing for real life: restaurants, busy kitchens, grocery runs, and all the tempting moments in between. Building this kind of focus now helps set him up for calm, reliable behaviour wherever he goes.

Celebrating an amazing owner-trained graduate team: Patricia and Kiara.
Kiara may be tiny, but she’s grown into such a stable, confident partner. From hockey games to international travel, we’re so proud of this team and excited for all the adventures ahead. Congrats!
