People sometimes wonder if service dogs ever get to relax and just be dogs. - All the time. Balance matters. The best service dogs are confident, happy, and mentally healthy, which means plenty of time to explore, play, and enjoy the world around them.

Rocky will be stepping into a very special role as a facility dog at Life-Balance Counselling and Consulting Corp., where his calm presence and gentle nature will help create a safe, supportive space for clients navigating difficult moments. We have an urgent need for one more puppy raiser in Edmonton for this sweet little girl. She’ll be ready to head home March 2 or March 9 at either 12 or 13 weeks old.

She has a strong foundation and has completed a one-month puppy head-start program (Canis Vitae’s Puppy Development & Enrichment Program) to help make transition to a foster family as easy as possible.

If you’ve been thinking about raising a future service dog and have room in your heart and home right now, this could be a perfect fit.

Do you have a friend, family member, or neighbour who loves dogs and lives or works in the west end of Edmonton? We’re currently looking for 2–3 foster families to support older service dogs in training.

These are established, well-started dogs around one year old who attend school Monday to Friday and return home in the evenings and on weekends. This can be a great fit for people who would love having a dog but work full time — no daycare, no kenneling, and lots of support from our team.

You get to enjoy an amazing dog at home while helping shape their journey toward becoming a service dog. It’s a meaningful way to make a difference while still fitting into a busy life.
