✨ It's Celebration Time! ✨

Over the past 3 years, this family has put in so much heart and hard work supporting language and regulation skills. 💪💬

When they first started services, this kiddo had about 20 words and regular meltdowns. Today, they’re communicating in full sentences, setting boundaries with a clear “no thanks,” and choosing to take breaks independently when needed. 🧠✨ Parents have put in so much work modelling strategies and are feeling far more confident in their parenting.

And... let’s celebrate this kiddo’s love for animals! Especially pangolins and snakes 🐍, who made a special appearance in the photo shoot.

We’re so proud of this journey and this family. 🌈

Coaches Trent, Karen, and Ashley were busy supporting a variety of goals at a visit last week, including 🍎 food exploration, 🧠 regulation, ⚡ energy conservation and 🤸 gross motor skills & balance.

A Qi OT + PT joint visit meant more collaboration with parents 🤝 and multiple goals supported in one meaningful, efficient session 🙌 💛

Growing up means learning a lot about ourselves — what we like, who we keep close, and how we navigate the world 🌎✨ For neurodivergent adults, it also means learning how to support yourself.

Some everyday hacks look like:
👖 Extra comfy pants in the car for days when the ones you picked earlier that morning begin to feel uncomfortable (itchy, textures, clothing tags)
💳 Auto-pay for bills to avoid missed payments
🎒 Sensory toolbox on hand: fidgets, ear plugs, hand fan, eye mask
💊 Mini pill box for little discomforts (painkillers, antacids, breath mints, throat drops)
⏰ Clocks set a few minutes ahead for smoother transitions (a strategy of Coach Deanna's French teacher in elementary school!)
🗝 GPS-tagged keys and a “home” spot for them (a special bowl, clothing hook etc)

And remember — none of this comes overnight! So give yourself grace for learning the ways your brain works, one day at a time. 💛💫
