Trigger finger = when your tendon gets stuck from inflammation + tightness 😣

Try this simple gua sha routine for relief:
1. Gently scrape along the sides of your finger
2. Scrap your entire palm (don’t miss your thumb + pinky base!)
3. Massage the back of your hand between each finger
4. Add a rice grain + tape trick for all-day massage

And don’t forget—rest your finger with a splint 🙌

Save this & share with someone who needs it 💛

Do you have shoulder tension or trigger finger? Try this simple trick 👇

Take a gua sha tool and gently massage along the sides of each finger. Make sure you cover all five fingers.

No tool? No problem. You can use:
• the lid of a mason jar
• a ceramic spoon
• or even your knuckles
Just make sure the edge isn’t too sharp.

This can help improve circulation and reduce stiffness in the finger tendons, which may help with trigger finger.

Your shoulder, arm, and fingers are all connected through muscles and connective tissue. When your fingers and hands are tight, it can contribute to overall tension up to your shoulder, which is why we want to relax the fingers too.

Save this and try it for a few minutes each day.

Lotus leaves contain a natural compound called nuciferine that researchers are studying for its potential metabolic benefits.
Some studies suggest it may help prevent weight gain, reduce fat accumulation, and support gut health.

A healthier gut microbiome and stronger intestinal barrier can reduce inflammation and improve metabolism, which may help the body store less fat.

A simple way to try it:
🍵 Brew 1 cup of green tea
🌿 Add 3g dried lotus leaf
⏱ Steep for 5–7 minutes

It’s not a magic solution, but small habits can support a healthy lifestyle.

Foods You Think Are Healthy… But Actually Aren’t

Oat Milk:
Dangerous agricultural chemical chlormequat can be found in oat products, which could reduce fertility. Many brands are loaded with added sugars and oils.

Juice:
Contains vitamins, but also concentrated sugar without the fiber to slow it down. If you’re craving juice, blend whole fruit instead so you keep the fiber.

Salad:
It’s not the lettuce, it’s the dressings, bacons, and extras that turn it into a calorie bomb.
Use olive oil + vinegar dressing, and skip heavy creamy dressings and fried toppings.

Instant Oatmeal:
Contains harmful chemical chlormequat.
Too processed and quick to digest, which can lead to blood sugar spikes.
Opt for organic steel-cut or rolled oats, which contains less or no chlormequat and takes longer to digest.

Windy days aren’t just uncomfortable — they may also make it easier to get sick. 🌬️

In Chinese medicine, “Wind” is considered a major external pathogen that can carry illness into the body, often affecting the head, neck, and face first. That’s why after a cold or windy day, you might notice the start of a runny nose, sore throat, or stiff neck.

A simple traditional remedy to support your body after exposure to wind or cold is ginger and jujube tea.

🍵 Ginger + Jujube Tea
• ~5 g organic ginger (sliced, ~7 g regular ginger)
• ~10 g jujube (Chinese red dates)
• 1 cup water
Simmer for about 5 minutes, then enjoy a small cup of this warming drink.

In Chinese medicine, this tea is used to help expel Wind and support your immune system — especially after being outside in cold or windy weather.

So if you just came back from a windy walk, try making yourself a cup. Your body will thank you.

According to a 2025 clinical trial 📊, acupuncture improved symptoms in patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS. Patients had fewer days with diarrhea and better stool consistency.

This was not published in just any journal. It was published in Gastroenterology , one of the most respected journals in digestive health.

Researchers ran a really solid study across six different hospitals. They enrolled 280 patients with IBS-D and split them into two groups. One group received acupuncture treatments, and the other group received placebo acupuncture.

The result?
Patients who received acupuncture had:
• Fewer days with diarrhea 🚽⏬
• Better stool consistency 💩👍
• Reduced severity of IBS symptoms ⬇️
And the improvement lasted for 3 months after treatment .

One theory is that acupuncture helps rebalance the brain-gut connection 🧠↔️🫀 and relax the nervous system, which is often overactive in IBS.

So if you’ve tried everything else and you’re still struggling with IBS-D, acupuncture might be another option worth looking into.

Hot bath helps with poor sleep!

We all know a hot bath feels amazing…
But did you know it could actually be the solution to your poor sleep?

Studies show that taking a hot bath before bed helps you fall asleep faster, and improves your sleep quality.

When you step out of the bath, your body temperature naturally drops.

That drop signals to your brain, “It’s time to rest.”

Other studies have shown that a hot bath can reduce your cortisol levels, which is your main stress hormone.

Soaking your feet in hot water has a similar effect.

Try this tonight.
Put your phone and electronics away.
Dim the lights.
Spend 10-20 minutes in a warm bath, or a foot soak.

Let your body unwind.

And if you’d like, gently massage the HT7 acupuncture point to calm your mind even more.

Better sleep might be just one soak away. 🌙

Is brown rice REALLY healthier than white rice?

Brown rice has slightly more fiber and nutrients — but the difference is small. It also contains phytates, which can reduce mineral absorption.

If you add 1 tbsp of pumpkin, flax, or chia seeds to white rice, the nutrition can exceed brown rice alone. Brown rice is often more expensive and may contain more arsenic since it keeps the outer bran layer.

Both have a high glycemic index, so blood sugar can spike.
Try this instead: cook your rice, cool it in the fridge, then reheat it. This increases resistant starch.
Benefits:
✔️ Better gut health
✔️ Better blood sugar control
✔️ More fullness
✔️ Lower cholesterol
Moderation matters — 1–2 cups per day is reasonable.

So… Team WHITE or BROWN?
