According to a 2025 clinical trial ๐Ÿ“Š, acupuncture improved symptoms in patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS. Patients had fewer days with diarrhea and better stool consistency.

This was not published in just any journal. It was published in Gastroenterology , one of the most respected journals in digestive health.

Researchers ran a really solid study across six different hospitals. They enrolled 280 patients with IBS-D and split them into two groups. One group received acupuncture treatments, and the other group received placebo acupuncture.

The result?
Patients who received acupuncture had:

Is brown rice REALLY healthier than white rice?

Brown rice has slightly more fiber and nutrients โ€” but the difference is small. It also contains phytates, which can reduce mineral absorption.

If you add 1 tbsp of pumpkin, flax, or chia seeds to white rice, the nutrition can exceed brown rice alone. Brown rice is often more expensive and may contain more arsenic since it keeps the outer bran layer.

Both have a high glycemic index, so blood sugar can spike.

Warm Up! Gardening is exercise! Get your body ready by standing up and walking around for a few minutes before you start digging or lifting heavy stuff.

Warm Up Again! Been sitting on that stool for a bit and it's time to move some dirt? Stand up and walk around for a few minutes before you do that. Your spineโ€™s got a memory, and your back needs time to recover from the prolonged sitting.

Lift from Your Knees and Hips! Donโ€™t use your waist to lift - bend those knees and hips instead! It keeps the stress off your spine and saves you from the dreaded bulging disc.

No Lift and Twist! Twisting while lifting is a big no-no. It puts up to four times more stress on your spine. Lift that bag of dirt between your legs, close to your body, and avoid the twisty-toss move.
