πŸŽ„πŸ—οΈ Teamwork, creativity, and giving back!

During the staff holiday celebrations, teams took on a fun structure-building challenge with a meaningful twist. Staff were asked to bring in non-perishable food items for the Veterans Association Food Bank of Edmonton , then split into four teams to build their own towers using the donated items.

Each team put their creativity and collaboration to the test, resulting in some impressive (and competitive!) towers β€” all while supporting an important cause. Take a look at the towers below and vote in the comments for your favourite! πŸ’™βœ¨

Our daytime programs in both Edmonton and Calgary include opportunities to enjoy the community, learn new skills, and build confidence. The recent bowling day in Calgary was a perfect example, filled with laughter, teamwork, and moments of personal achievement!

Being able to share activities like this encourages social interaction and strengthens physical skills. It also creates space for friendships to grow while exploring the community in fun and engaging ways, and celebrates visibility and inclusion for people with disabilities.

From cheering on friends and applauding every pin knocked down, the Calgary bowling day was a wonderful reminder of the joy and growth that comes from being active in the community. πŸ’™βœ¨
