Update from Universal Ostrich Farms
It was widely reported recently that Katie and Karen's charges had been dropped, unfortunately that information was incorrect.
The charges in have not been dropped but the crown has not yet proceeded. Katie and Karen went today for the dehumanizing experience of being fingerprinted.
I'm starting to work on taking victim impact statements and witness testimonials from the night of the slaughter.
I'm doing live interviews here and tomorrow we should have an online form where people can submit their own written testimonials with an option to upload an audio or video testimonial as well.
I believe this is important for many reasons. It's incredibly important to compile this information for legal purposes but there are many reasons as well.
I believe it'll be a helpful experience for people to share what they went through. It will help people deal with trauma and it will encourage others to reach out and speak openly.
By sharing your personal experiences, while vulnerable, will inspire others to be courageous and do the same. The legal stuff is important to human aspect is far more important.
This is the kind of thing that can connect to everyday people, swell a grass roots movement and put real pressure on the government and their evil agents who are responsible for this horror.
The Nationwide Farmers Protest is set for Saturday in cities across the country. As of right now, I'm planning to be in Kelowna but I will make sure to share my plans once they're finalized.
On a final note, we have some great news about FOB SMITH...
Not sure who pulled it off, but we got word that Mike's truck got the parts it needed and is good to go in Calgary.
Mike will be flying out to Calgary in the morning and should be back in the area like tomorrow night!
I can't wait to reconnect with him, Spark and Phoenix...
