Older adults want a voice in shaping their care, but their understanding of participation often differs from that of healthcare organizations.

Nick Anthony Millar is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Nursing with research focused on older adults’ participation in age-friendly care models.

Nick Anthony Millar’s research challenges traditional engagement models and calls for more flexible, inclusive ways for older persons to meaningfully participate in Age-Friendly Care (AFC) design.

🔑 Participation should fit people, not exclude them.
