More than 25 years after eradicating the disease, Canada has lost its measles elimination status.
It didn’t have to be this way.

Canada reached Measles elimination status in 1998. We are now at risk of losing this status. Elimination was achieved through a unified approach and requires expert, evidence-driven plans and a commitment to making these plans operational.
