Work of ART Coaching Andrea Troughton
Personal Trainer, Holistic Health Coach, Author & Speaker I love helping clients improve their lifestyles and their self-esteem.

I believe that your body truly is a work of art, and it is deserving of your love. I want to help people make physical activity a regular part of their lives, by helping them to find activities that bring them joy, while also working toward their health and fitness goals. I believe in educating my clients on how to nourish their bodies and make healthful food choices, while still enjoying and appreciating the foods that they eat. Health and wellness is a way of life, and enjoying the process and finding your personal balance is key.

If you’re working on your relationship with food, holidays like Easter can bring up a lot.

Extra food, family conversations about diets, or the feeling that you need to “balance out” treats with restriction or exercise.

But here’s your reminder: you don’t need to change the way you eat or move your body this week because of Easter. When we allow ourselves to enjoy holiday foods without guilt and then simply continue on with our normal routines, holidays become a lot less stressful.

Whether you’re celebrating this weekend or not, these reminders can help you approach food more mindfully and with a little more ease.

It is safe for you to eat and enjoy food today. And every day.

Don’t overcomplicate eating. Focus on what you can do, not what you think you should do.

Instead of thinking about what you “need” to cut out of your diet, try focusing on what you can add in: more fruits and veggies, whole grains, fibre, protein, healthy fats, water, etc.

Small, supportive additions often go a lot further than restrictive rules.

I am thrilled to share that I have been chosen to be a presenter at this summer’s Wild Roses Festival!

✨ Release: A Somatic Mobility Session

This session will invite you to release both physical and emotional tension through a blend of corrective exercise, somatic movement, mindfulness, and music. Guided exercises will improve joint strength, stability, and mobility, while somatic techniques help you reconnect with your body and emotions. Imagine yoga meets group fitness meets dance party–a playful, liberating space to get out of your head and into your body, leaving you feeling lighter, freer, and more embodied.

If you’re able to make it out to this incredible weekend, I’d love to see you there! Festival tickets are now on sale (link in bio).

Do you ever struggle to shut down body talk in conversations?

Save these boundary statements for the next time it comes up and remember: your body is YOUR business, not a topic for discussion.

It’s the first day of spring! 🌼

Which means we are going to start hearing more messaging about “summer bodies,” “summer prep,” and ways to change ourselves.

Just a reminder: Your body does not need a seasonal makeover.

What spring can offer instead is a chance to reconnect with yourself. Maybe that looks like going outside more, easing back into your favourite summer activities, or just paying closer attention to what your body needs.

Spring doesn’t have to mean doing more, pushing harder, or becoming someone different.

Join me for a FREE Joyful Mobility class on March 28 from 3:00–4:00pm (online).

This online movement session is designed to help you release stress, give your joints some TLC, and reconnect with your body in a supportive, low-pressure space.

No equipment is needed, and the class is accessible for most bodies. You can join from home, or anywhere you have a little space to move.

Together we’ll tune into our bodies, challenge ourselves a little, and probably get a bit silly along the way. Sharing your video is optional, but encouraged so we can move together as a community.

If you’ve been wanting to move your body in a way that feels supportive, intentional, and a little joyful, this class is for you (link in bio). 🧡

I am so excited to share that I will be presenting at the East Coast Women’s Grappling Retreat 2026, hosted by Alchemize Fightwear.

I will be leading a session called Mindful Mobility. This movement session is designed to foster mind body connection, promote balance within the body, and support joint strength and stability. Expect intentional movement, thoughtful progressions, and space to tune in to what your body needs.

If you practice jiu jitsu, grappling, or simply love moving your body in empowering spaces with other women, this retreat is going to be something special.

You can find all the details on the event page (link in my bio), or feel free to send me a DM if you have any questions!

If your exercise routines never seems to stick, it might not be about motivation. It might be a problem with the foundation.

These may seem like no-brainers, yet so many people struggle to sustain their exercise routines because they believe that there is a “right” or a “wrong” way to exercise.

Instead of trying to do things the “right way” focus instead on safety, repeatability, and enjoyment. With these 3 components at the forefront of the exercise program, you can’t go wrong.

There’s a difference between supporting your body and overworking it.

Some days you might need to lower the intensity, slow down, shorten your workout, modify movements, or adjust your focus to mobility and gentle movement instead of strength.

And some days, the most supportive choice is to rest and skip it entirely. Trust your body and remember that taking a day off isn’t a failure, it’s care.

International Women’s Day feels like a beautiful reminder that none of us get here alone.

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” speaks to something I see every day in my work: when women are supported, when we share resources, when we offer encouragement instead of competition, something shifts. Not just for one person, but for all of us.

When we give our time, our attention, our knowledge, our compassion, we create more space for women to feel safe, capable, and worthy. And when women feel supported, they take up space differently. They speak differently. They show up differently.

So today I’m reflecting on this:
How can I give in a way that helps another woman feel stronger, safer, or more supported? And what might we gain, collectively, if we all did the same?

Happy International Women’s Day 🤍
