3 overlooked speech therapy tips that can make a big difference:

✨ Join what your child is already interested in. You don’t need to create the “perfect” activity…connection and engagement matter more. When you follow your child’s lead, they’re more motivated to interact, communicate, and learn.
🗣️ Model the language you want them to use instead of asking lots of questions, show them how it sounds. Keep it simple and natural. If they say “car,” you can model “fast car” or “go car.” Repetition without pressure builds confidence and understanding.
⏸️ Pause and wait (longer than feels comfortable)This one is hard but so important. Giving your child extra time creates space for them to process and respond. It shows them their communication is valued and worth waiting for.
